Back to Hive with a treat for the eyes: Dragon Ball Z Fighters

It's been a while, Hive

and it's been a while video games too!

I'm not the guy who is most fond of playing games every day at all hours, but certainly sitting down to play a couple of hours a week is good for me to endure all the rest of my work, let's say it's necessary to survive.

But if there is something that I like and I think that most men like, it is Dragon Ball, from the series to the movies and video games, I think that here in Latin America it has been one of the most recognizable phenomena for young people.

A few years ago I had several DBZ games on my Playstation and I had a pretty good time with friends playing them, to the point that I decided to buy Dragon Ball Z Fighters at a Steam sale, because it looks like those 2D games that were made before, only with better graphics and animations.

Like many other DBZ video games, this is a crazy fighting game, where there is not so much focus on the characters and what the real power scales are based on the series but instead we see a focus more on the fight and the combos that we can make with each of the 23 available characters that are in the initial roaster.

It reminds me a lot of Marvel vs Capcom, it's a game that draws heavily from the perspective and aesthetics of these old school titles that used 2D a lot, but here I feel that they give it a whole new meaning, something like even though the gameplay and the general sense of each fight is in two dimensions, you do feel that there is depth in the scenarios and the characters, in fact I think that the scenarios form a good part of the atmosphere of a Dragon Ball game.

But enough with that, let's talk about the fights.

We have several game modes, I recommend not approaching the campaign mode because it seems to me that it is too limited, bad animations in between and a story of the classic Dragon Ball story that does not convince me too much

The ideal is in the fights, which are the real reason why we are here, what for me is just pressing any button until the other falls actually has a good combo system

In addition to that we also have the support characters, what is more these will be very important if we even want to go to the online rooms to duel, I am still learning a little how to combine them well but according to what I have seen in certain Tournaments are almost as important as knowing how your character moves, since with the attendees we can chain better combos

I usually like to go to the tournaments that they do from time to time and this game is one of the most attractive because of all the combos it has, maybe even more than Mortal Kombat and I think it is gaining a lot of ground in the competitive scene

I just wanted to share this game with you since I don't usually see much talk about fighting games here so I want to open the conversation, I can mention at least 5 other excellent fighting games that have come out recently but I hope you can play this one at some point
