I am pleased to see that I got so much support from people in the Gaming Community on my first review post on “Clash Royale” game. So today I will talk about Clan Wars I and upcoming Clan Wars II, which is announced by developers yesterday.
Clan Benefits
First of all, I will talk about Clan and its benefits.
Starting with Experience level 1, we can join or create clans. Joining or creating a clan enables the player to engage in friendly battles and clan wars. It also unlocks the feature of trading and requesting cards from clanmates after becoming experience level 2. Clan members can also chat, and share emotes with their clanmates for fun or making strategy for the clan wars. A clan has a maximum limit of 50 players.
Clan War I
A clan war is separated into two days that is ‘Collection Day’ and ‘War Day’. To play in a Clan War, a Clan must have a minimum of ten players that are level 8 or above. On Collection Day, each player in a Clan gets to do three battles in a variety of game modes, which rotate every season. Upon completing a battle, the player earns cards, which go into their Clan’s card collection.
On War Day, a Clan is matched with four other Clans with a similar number of participants and Clan Trophies. Each participant gets to build a deck using only the cards that their Clan unlocked on Collection Day. Card levels are limited to the player’s card level, and the number of duplicate cards gained on Collection Day, with the lowest level having priority. Players also must have a card unlocked in their collection to use it. Players use the deck they built in 1 battle (sometimes 2). Each Clan is ranked from 1st to 5th place based on the number of wins they have, with the rank decided by the number of Crowns each Clan has if two Clans have the same amount of wins. At the end of the War Day, all players that participated in the War receive a War Bounty.
Clan Wars II (coming on 31st August)
Collection Day and War Day will be removed! They will be replaced with the brand new RIVER RACE.
Each Clan now has its CLAN BOAT, which they will use to compete in the River Race. Clans will advance in the River Race by gaining FAME from RIVER TASKS.
Clans will find themselves pitted against the same Clans throughout an entire River Race, so you’ll get to know your opponents very well! Clans can attack other Clan Boats as they progress down the River.
After the River Races have been completed and all War Gates passed through, Clans enter the Clan War Colosseum to battle against other Clans for more rewards and glory in CLAN WAR LEAGUES.
With Collection Day being removed, players now use their Card Collection to make 4 UNIQUE War Decks!
- War Decks contain 32 total unique cards (You can’t have the same card in more than 1 War Deck)
- War Decks are used to complete River Tasks
- Once a War Deck has been used it is put on a global cooldown until it can be used again
War Decks use your Card Collection card levels. Get ready to master four different decks and a variety of cards!
River tasks
River Tasks earn Fame for your Clan and rewards for yourself.
The more Fame, your Clan, has, the faster your Clan Boat moves down the River, as their new fans and victories inspire your crew.
Each of the River Tasks below require War Decks to be interacted with:
- Boat Battle
- Duel
- 1v1
- Trainer
- Boatyard
As Clan Wars 2 progresses and grows after its initial release, more River Tasks will be added.
New Game Modes
- Best of 3 gameplay
- Gives the most significant rewards
- Requires a minimum of 3 War Decks to Duel
Duels require players to battle other players in a Best of 3 formats (2 wins are needed to win the Duel) and use four unique Decks.
Duels are a great test of skill as the more battles you play, the more you will need to use your knowledge of your opponent’s decks and what cards they have or haven’t used to beat them!

Defeat Boat Defenses to damage the enemy Clan Boat!
- Player vs Environment gameplay
- Attack enemy Clan Boats and defend your own
- Clan members set up Boat Defenses using their Card Collection
- Stop other Clans from progressing by damaging their Clan Boat
- Steal enemy Clan Fame and use it to boost your Clan’s progress
- Requires 1 War Deck to attack
As you progress through the River Race, you will earn more rewards for yourself and your Clan.
When each River Race is complete, rewards will be shared among your Clan (depending on if you have contributed or not).
This is similar to the old Clan Chest, with all Clan members contributing in no small reward that is shared throughout the Clan!
