Hunting in Layton Lakes | My first gameplay video with Commentary!

Hello, gamers. Welcome back to my blog.

Well, this is a new thing for me. I blame @incublus for this video. First thing first, I am not a native English speaker (you will know it very soon if you watch like 10 seconds of the video...lol). English is my third language so most of the time I keep finding my words and sometimes I stop the sentence mid-way just because I cannot find an English word.

Also, my PC is just an old toaster pretending to be a PC so I had to lower the game quality and recording quality as well.

Other than the above limitation, I have never made a proper gameplay video with commentary before so I have a lot to learn. But this video was kind of an experiment to test out if my PC can even handle it. Let me know if the video quality is fine and if I should let record more gameplay videos with commentary even though I suck at it.

Now that the disclaimer is over. Let's talk about what happened during this hunting session.

As you can see I started close to a river in Layton Lakes makes and went out to kill anything I see on my way.

We heard a moose call and went after to investigate but found a small herd of Whitetail instead and we hunted a big male with our trusted bow. This also completed a side mission where I had to hunt and harvest a whitetail weighing at least 70 kg and this one weighed 78 kg.

We then saw some ducks sitting over the water so we shot down one of the bigger ones with our rifle. The bow would be ineffective at this distance.

I had another mission where I had to hunt down a whitetail deer within 30 meters distance. This looked like a tough challenge at first as calling them this close is super risky they can sense you easily if you make the slightest of noise or don't hide well.

I hid in the long grasses and called the herd which was drinking. Soon, many came to investigate the source of the calls and two of those got killed with my shotgun.

Look at this female whitetail running away at full pace. I didn't know they run so fast that their back legs get this far ahead even before they could lift the front legs and put them forward.

I also got a nice-looking Moose in this session.

I ended the session with some rabbits after getting almost frustrated by chasing Whitetails. I could only hear them but could not see them near the end of the video. So, I just used my rage on poor rabbits.

As you can sense from the video, hunting is a game of patience... not always you will be successful and sometimes you have to be very patient even to see an animal. If you just lose patience and run towards them, chances are they get spooked and run away leaving you rage quitting the game.

There are still many missions left to do in this map and I will complete them slowly but surely. In this session, I did two side missions without knowing them. If you hunt enough, eventually you will complete the mission without making the extra effort.

Thanks for reading...

Until next time...
