This post may start a little different than what I'm used to. I'm writing this from a phone, without electricity and just woke up by a storm. If I have to talk about bad experiences, the bad connection and the bad service of the light that there is in my country, it must be mentioned since in many occasions I have lost very valuable objects, very valuable games and a lot of time of game in only a second.
As a child, I used to play a lot at my friends' house. They loved fighting games, Tekken style games, Mortal Kombat or Dragon Ball. I loved to play, but obviously if I lost a round, I had to pass the control to someone else. I was the one who was losing all the time and I felt like I would do better next time but I could never be good at those kinds of games. I always had a complex about never winning a battle.
A little later I got to know the mmorpg games and ended up getting hooked on a lot of them. One of the games I knew at that time was called "Tales Of Pirates" (I will explain later what happened with this game).
TOP(Tales Of Pirates) was a pretty simple game, it didn't have great animations or novel graphics, nor did it look very good at first glance, but the truth is that I loved it. I spent hours and hours on the computer without stopping. In fact, I could say that I played that game for 27 hours in a row. The vice with that game was quite big.
I remember when I couldn't play on Sundays because of a religious issue, playing or doing things that were not productive was wrong. In that game I grew up to the point of having a whole family. I met a small clan when no one wanted to help me since the game was basically in English and there was no one who spoke Spanish.
That small clan was composed of the best players in the TOP with their Alts accounts (Secondary or Alternative accounts) and they helped novice players like me. Later on they taught me how to make quests, how to farm gold and gems, how to level up and how to improve my economy by buying and reselling.
Sometimes there were clan meetings on Sundays and I couldn't be there and that made me desperate, so when my parents were sleeping I would play all night until Sunday was over and if I got caught playing, they couldn't tell me anything since it wasn't Sunday anymore (Mom if you read this, please forgive me).
In math classes, physical education, walking, eating, everywhere I thought of Tales Of Pirates, that game had really become my vice, it helped me escape from bad times and my little family of pirates always supported me.
Then what I never thought would happen, I became the best player in Tales Of Pirates. I was the most hated and respected player by the clans. I learned to use up to 4 characters at once, so I was my own Healer, my own Wizard, my own champion and my own archer. In the PvP areas I was always the most feared, and even many paladins used a power to make themselves invisible and to be able to kill me, but that was a complete mistake since I armed my hybrid characters with very good Stats in resistance, they could not lower my life.
Like all mmorpg, that game was totally Pay To Win, in order to be better than other players you had to pay to have the best items and despite that, I got those items without paying a cent. If an average player who was dedicated to spend money to be stronger played 4 hours, I multiplied his hours by 3 and even 4. Sorry, I forgot that this post is about worse experiences, here is mine.
I already mentioned that I was always very bad at fighting games, besides being bad at racing games, but in Tales Of Pirates I was the best player, but it didn't last long. All my effort was destroyed in seconds. I'm sure I spent more time on that game than anything else and I really enjoyed it. Some players hacked the official server and placed all the items for free. The game lost its essence and simply the owners of the game decided to close it. It was quite devastating for me. I lost my friends, I lost my items and all my time.
Later there were some pirate servers for that game, which is ironic as it is a game based on "pirates", but these servers were not the same. They were empty and everything was too simple. I will always remember the bad times I had when I lost and I will always remember the time when I was one of the best players, but not for long. And this is my worst experience, or at least I think it's one that beats all the other experiences I've had with the games. Although I must admit that losing clan wars and valuables because of electricity and the internet connection could also be included in my worst gaming experience. Este post puede que comience un poco distinto a lo que tengo acostumbrado a hacer. Estoy escribiendo esto desde un teléfono, sin electricidad y recién despertado por una tormenta. Si de malas experiencias tengo que hablar, la mala conexión y el mal servicio de la luz que hay en mi país, debe de ser mencionado ya que en muchas ocasiones he perdido objetos muy valiosos, partidas muy valiosas y mucho tiempo de juego en tan solo un segundo.
De pequeño, yo solía jugar mucho en casa de mis amigos. Ellos adoraban los juegos de pelea, juegos estilo Tekken, Mortal Kombat o Dragon Ball. Me encantaba jugar, pero obviamente el que perdiera una ronda, debía de pasar el control a otro. Yo era ese que perdía todo el tiempo y sentía que lo iba a hacer mejor la próxima vez pero nunca pude ser bueno en ese tipo de juegos. Siempre me acomplejó el hecho de nunca ganar una batalla.
Un poco más tarde conocí los juegos mmorpg y me terminé enganchando un montón. Uno de los juegos que conocí en ese entonces se llamaba "Tales Of Pirates"(Ya les explicaré más adelante lo sucedido con este juego).
TOP(Tales Of Pirates) fue un juego bastante sencillo, no tenía grandes animaciones ni gráficos novedosos, tampoco se veía muy bueno a primera vista, pero la verdad es que a mi me encantó. Pasaba horas y horas en el computador sin parar. De hecho, podría decir que llegué a jugar 27 horas seguidas ese juego. El vicio con ese juego fue bastante grande.
Recuerdo cuando no podía jugar los domingos ya que por un tema de religión, jugar o hacer cosas que no sean productivas, estaba mal. En ese juego crecí hasta el punto de tener una familia completa. Conocí un pequeño clan cuando nadie quería ayudarme ya que el juego básicamente era en inglés y no había nadie que hablase español.
Ese pequeño clan estaba compuesto por los mejores jugadores de todo TOP con sus cuentas Alts(Cuentas segundarias o alternativas) y ayudaban a jugadores novatos como yo. Más tarde me enseñaron a hacer quest, a farmear oro y gemas, a subir de nivel y a mejorar mi economía comprando y revendiendo.
Algunas veces habían reuniones de clanes los domingos y yo no podía estar y eso me desesperaba, así que cuando mis padres de dormían yo jugaba toda la noche hasta que el domingo acabase y si me pillaban jugando, ya no podían decirme nada ya que era domingo(Mamá si lees esto, por favor, perdóname).
En clases de matemáticas, educación física, caminando, comiendo, en todas partes pensaba en Tales Of Pirates, realmente ese juego se había convertido en mi vicio, me ayudaba a escapar de los malos momentos y mi pequeña familia de piratas siempre me apoyaba.
Luego sucedió lo que nunca creí que pasaría, me volví el mejor jugador de Tales Of Pirates. Fui el jugador más odiado y respetado por los clanes. Llegué a aprender a utilizar hasta a 4 personajes a la vez, por lo cual, yo mismo era mi propio Healer, mi propio Mago, mi propio paladín y mi arquero. En las zonas de PvP siempre fui el más temido, e incluso muchos paladines utilizaban un poder para hacerse invisibles y poder asesinarme, pero eso era un completo error ya que yo armaba a mis personajes híbridos con muy buenos Stats en resistencia, ellos no podían bajarme la vida.
Como todo mmorpg, ese juego era totalmente Pay To Win, para poder ser mejor que otros jugadores tenías que pagar para tener los mejores items y a pesar de eso, yo conseguí esos items sin pagar ni un centavo. Si un jugador promedio que se dedicaba a gastar dinero para ser más fuerte jugaba 4 horas, yo multiplicaba sus horas por 3 y hasta 4. Perdonen, olvidé que este post se trata de peores experiencias, aquí va la mía.
Ya les mencioné que siempre fui muy malo en los juegos de pelea, además de ser malo en los juegos de carreras, pero en Tales Of Pirates fui el mejor jugador, pero no duró mucho. Todo mi esfuerzo fue destruido en segundos. Estoy seguro que le he dedicado más tiempo a ese juego que a cualquier otra cosa y realmente lo disfrutaba. Unos jugadores Hackearon el servidor oficial y colocaron todos los items gratis. El juego perdió su esencia y simplemente los dueños del juego decidieron cerrarlo. Fue bastante devastador para mi. Perdí a mis amigos, perdí mis objetos y todo mi tiempo.
Más tarde hubieron algunos servidores piratas de ese juego, lo cual es irónico al ser un juego basado en "piratas", pero estos servidores no eran lo mismo. Estaban vacíos y todo era demasiado sencillo. Siempre recordaré los malos momentos que tuve al perder y siempre recordaré el momento en el que fui uno de los mejores jugadores, pero no por mucho tiempo. Y esta es mi peor experiencia, o al menos pienso que es una que le gana a todas las demás experiencias que he tenido con los juego. Aunque debo de admitir que perder guerras de clanes y objetos valiosos por culpa de la electricidad y de la conexión a internet, también podrían incluirse a mi peor experiencia jugando.
