Papers, Please was a hit indy game back when it came out. Tons of youtubers screamed about the missing documents or all the things they had to check. It was quite an experience.
This one not so much. It's cute for sure but you don't have to actually check anybody's papers because the answer is pretty much right in the opening text.
That said we got some very early cameos of characters we'll be seeing in the next update and there's even a hint about what that update will feature. Suffice it to say people invested in the story should have their interests piqued.
I have to say miHoYo's maneuvered their games pretty expertly. Despite some hiccups that are still present we basically had a lull during the summer that now Zenless has filled. There was so much content in v1.0 that it took us right into Genshin's v4.8 alongside Star Rail's v2.4. Each time something ended another game's event would start. So right after v1.1's Camellia Golden Week wrapped up Genshin got its giant v5.0 update and we've been busy exploring the new region ever since. But with the Archon Quest over for now, many players also wrapped up the Tribal Chronicles we got so far we get this event in Zenless to occupy us until Jane Doe and Seth arrive and then right after that Star Rail's v2.5 will be starting.
At this point I've all but forgotten that there was another game running side by side with this because so far all they'd brought up is a lackluster holiday event that even inherited its name from yet another Genshin event, Moonchase Festival to Moon Chasing Festival.
Anyway I think next up for me is Mualani's Character Quest/Metzli's Tribal Chronicle. And then I'm pretty sure if Dodoco's involved that we'll have Klee appearances alongside some Mondstadt characters. That'll likely happen next. As for Zenless I will be going for Jane so I'll have to see how I want to upload that video. (likely saved for a highlights video) So there's still plenty to go and by then we'll probably get the preview livestream for Zenless v1.2.
