Welcome to my first-ever game review here in Hive Gaming. The game that I will be going to review today has the title "Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!" this game has similar mechanics to Temple Run. I came to review this game because of a pop-up message from Google Play Store that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is the newest game on Play Store. I was intrigued so I tried to try the game then led me to write a review of the game here in Hive Gaming.
Basically, the game's main function is swiping and tapping the screen while your character "Crash Bandicoot" keeps on running. But not only that, but you need to avoid obstacles on the course also, like falling blocks and stone and some deep ravine in order to survive and finish the course.
The main mechanic of the game is to ultimately beat Dr. Neo Cortex the main antagonist of the game. Aside from running and avoiding obstacles on the course, you will be tasked to build weapons while you are progressing on the game.
The game is set at Wumpa Archipelago, featuring running courses such as the Turtle Woods, Temple Ruins, and The Great Gate, there's a sewer course and a snowy mountain called "Snow Go Mountain".
The huge difference between this game and Temple Run is that "Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!" is also a multiplayer game. A feature where you can compete with your friends to see who gets the farthest on the game.
At the start of the game, you will be able to use the standard Coco and Crash. You can also do some cosmetic changes on Coco and Crash using skins the game also lets you upgrade your base where you create weapons that you will use in-game.
At the time of this review, the game sits at the TOP 5 of Google Play's "Top free -> Action -> New" charts. See screenshot below.
Playing the game for the first time
As you can see, starting the game will greet you with the famous king Logo just like what you always see when you play candy crush games.
After the king splash screen comes the game's splash screen
At the start of the game (if this is the first time you play this game) you will be greeted by Coco Bandicoot talking and giving instruction to the gamer, at this time the first character that you are going to play is Crash Bandicoot.
At first, Coco is telling Trash that she detected a Nitro Ant Drones
Next, Coco tells Crash to use the Nitro Portal Serum to blast back the Nitro Ant Drone back to its dimension
Next, she then tells her big brother to be careful
At this moment, you need to tap the screen to start the game and Crash will start running
While Crash is running, on-screen instructions are available for the first time user of the game, at this point you are told to tap the screen to let crash spin and destroy the brown box at the center
In the next screenshot below, you are instructed to swipe the screen up to male Crash jump
On this next screen, you are instructed to swipe to the left to let Crash go to his left
In this next screen, you are instructed to swipe the screen to the right to make Crash go to his right, don't forget to get the fruits on your way, they are important later on for the game
On this next screen, Coco will appear again, telling Crash, that the box in front of him contains an Aku Aku that will protect him if he runs into enemy crates
After spinning and destroying the crates, Crash then obtained an Aku Aku invincibility
On this next screen, you are instructed to swipe down to make Crash slide under an obstacle
At the end of the course, you will be greeted by a Nitro Ant Drone mentioned by Coco earlier,
Next, you are instructed by Coco to throw the Nitro Portal Serum by tapping your screen, after that the Nitro Ant Drone will be sent on its own dimension
After you defeat the Nitro Ant Drone you will be rewarded with a Power Gem from the Nitro Ant Drone that you defeated.

Next, Coco will tell you to go to the Warp Pad to return to base
All in all, the game seems to be fun to play, because of its added mechanics to the game. Just like I said, you can create weapons and change the character skins that you will accumulate while playing.
