Kvark is a FPS game set in the 80s, as far as I understand it was made by two students as a project. The game brings back the feeling of old Half life games with catchy graphics making the game immersive.
In today's post I am showing you the first level of the game, as a short description of it, the game is catchy and brings you curiosity to check the story further since the beginning.
I'll let you check the full gameplay on my youtube channel, link below:
The story starts with the main protagonist in a cell that gets his wrench and escapes the cell.
The wrench is also the main weapon until you can gather more ammo, you find yourself a pistol while exploring around but with limited ammo you might want to avoid using it and save it up for later.
The first enemies that you encounter are using melee attacks and are pretty easy to take down but as the game advances there will enemies using pistols and shoot you from a decent range.
The game features a Shield and Health system, even though in my first level I don't remember using the Shield because I couldn't find any (or I had but in small amounts) but the health got damaged a few times, and there are a couple of ways to get it back. You can find different items that will refill parts of it. One of these items are the soda cans that you can get from Vending machines if you hit them.
More enemies, this time using the pistol to avoid being taken down by them, also they had a shooter that deals damage easily.
Another one, close call, HP got below 50%!
Over half of the level passed and I managed to find a more suitable weapon, an automatic rifle, looks like an AK-47.
It looks like they've had killer drones even in the 80s, it scared the s**t out of me when it first started shooting.
Oh forgot to mention they have these radioactive rats spread around the map, creepy noise when they run after you.
This was a super short description of the first level, you can see it in it's full length in the youtube link mentioned at the top of this post.
I really recommend the game, it's pretty fun, interesting and brings back the memories from old games with it's graphics and atmosphere.
Until next episode, I am wishing you a great day!
Thanks for leveling up with me! ๐ฎ
