This was my first time hunting for them, the taste and texture is kind of interesting actually I wouldn't say it is like duck it's a little more dry than duck but not dry like chicken. Kind of like a beef/chicken mix perhaps is the best way to describe it!
And yeah it's the first time they did a spring season like this, but they're just overrunning the towns and cities here right now so the overpopulation is serious lol I'll be trying for them again in the fall-time, hopefully I can bag a few for myself then. They were flying high and keeping lots of distance during this hunt. My experienced goose hunting friend was saying the behavior is totally different than when he has hunted them in the fall.
