Hello everyone, I find it imperative to participate in this weeks IYC contest.
I'm a Nigerian, a country located on the west coast of Africa.
The name of my city is Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom, Nigeria 🇳🇬. Akwa ibom state is a peace-loving state, Right from its creation, the state has not witnessed any form of crisis that has led to the breakdown of law and order. It's the only state in Nigeria that is named after God.
Certainly, the people of Akwa Ibom state are also a special set of people who holds unto their social norms and values. One of those values is leaving at peace with one another, especially with strangers.
To buttress the place of peace in the city, the state government built a monument in the heart of the city to tell the world that Uyo is a peaceable place to live in.
From the image, one could see three pillars holding three live doves appearing to be flying within the pillars. This means that the three pillars are the strongholds or the foundation that holds the state. While the doves represent peace, flying through the entire state.
I had to drive down to this place, to show the world that we stand for peace.
Thank you
This is my entry to the IYC CONTEST.
