The Anglo-Gallic coin presenting Edward the Black Prince, as Prince of Aquitaine, is an incredible and traditionally sizable AV Pavilion d'or minted in Bordeaux between 1362 and 1372.

The obverse facet depicts the noble prince sporting a swish rose wreath, standing dealing with forward with a raised hand and holding a sword. At his toes lie leopards couchant, and ostrich feathers gracefully curve inward to the left and proper. The entire scene is elegantly framed inside an ornate Gothic portico.

on the opposite aspect, there's an intricate go quernée with the letter Є at its center, surrounded through a lion passant and a lis in opposing quarters. This remarkable layout is enclosed within an arched quatrefoil, similarly adorned with roses in the angles and pelleted trilobes within the external voids. With its specific craftsmanship and historical importance, this coin serves as a fascinating testomony to the opulence and artistry of the generation.
