[HIVE ARTE ] Maps with dice - Part 2 - And something more! [ENG-ES...

Buen día, amigos de Hive Arte, ¿Cómo se encuentran hoy ? Yo estoy muy bien ya que hoy les traigo la 2da parte del curso corto de dibujos de mapas con dados. En esta oportunidad vamos a colorear el resultado de la semana pasada, y darle los últimos toques y detalles para tener como resultado nuestro primer mapa terminado.

Good morning, friends of Hive Arte, how are you today ? I am very well because today I bring you the 2nd part of the short course of drawing maps with dice. This time we are going to color the result of last week, and give the last touches and details to have as a result our first finished map.

Comencé, como ya les mostré, con el trabajo realizado en lápiz, decidí darle primero los toques más coloridos ya que el resto quedaría bastante básico tratándose de un paisaje de hielo. Y elegí en esta oportunidad, usar lápices, porque el papel tipo reciclado que estoy usando no es apto para acuarelas, y no quiero estropearlo con los marcadores de alcohol, asique veremos qué resulta, y lo veremos juntos, ya que los lápices no son para nada mi material preferido, haha.

I began, as I already showed you, with the work done in pencil, I decided to give it first the most colorful touches since the rest would be quite basic being an ice landscape. And I chose to use pencils this time, because the recycled paper I'm using is not suitable for watercolors, and I don't want to spoil it with alcohol markers, so we'll see how it turns out, and we'll see it together, since pencils are not my favorite material at all, haha.

Primero hice los detalles rojos, los buzones de correo, el fuego, algunas maderas y techos. La verdad es que siento que el espacio está un poco vacío, por lo que seguro añadiré objetos, pero pienso que para el próximo mapa, quizás sea conveniente usar un papel más pequeño. Dicho esto, continué con los verdes, árboles y algún otro detalle también.

First I did the red details, the mailboxes, the fire, some wood and ceilings. The truth is that I feel that the space is a bit empty, so I will add objects for sure, but I think that for the next map, it might be convenient to use a smaller paper. That said, I continued with the greens, trees and some other detail as well.

Para darle toques a los hielos, nieve y muñecos que hay por ahí, usaré un toque celeste, he notado también que el lápiz gris se esfuma un poco cuando paso cerca, así que no lo haré perfecto tampoco, ni borraré estos detalles grises luego. Prefiero dejarlo así y darle los bordes característicos con mi rotulador liner al finalizar. Y luego usé el color azul para el agua y algunos hielos que quise destacar.

To give touches to the ice, snow and dolls that are around, I will use a light blue touch, I have also noticed that the gray pencil fades a little when I pass by, so I won't make it perfect either, nor will I erase these gray details later. I prefer to leave it like this and give it the characteristic edges with my liner pen at the end. And then I used the blue color for the water and some ice that I wanted to highlight.

Va tomando una forma genial, dentro de todo. Continuaré con los marrones, para las maderas y algunos naranjas para dar otros detalles, mientras avanzo voy decidiendo qué coloración iría mejor, ya que también quiero darle un poco de vida al camino y las piedras de lo que son las torres. De esta manera, el paisaje empieza a cobrar vida, una vida donde me aventuro a decir que habrán varias peleas y descubrimientos, jaja.

It's taking a great shape, all in all. I will continue with browns, for the woods and some oranges to give other details, as I go along I am deciding which coloring would go better, since I also want to give a little life to the road and the stones of what are the towers. In this way, the landscape begins to come to life, a life where I venture to say that there will be several fights and discoveries, haha.

Habiendo terminado los detalles, quise comenzar a ponerle toques de rol, coloqué algunos carteles de madera, bolsas que esconden cosas y elegí poner algún cofre por allí, me pareció interesante para destacar y hacer de este, evidentemente el mapa de una aventura de rol. No sin antes comenzar también con las líneas en negro, esto me toma poco tiempo y le da ese sentido caricaturezco y de estar llegando al final que me encanta. Sin esto, no siento que esté avanzando, soy muy crítica a la hora de crear.

Having finished the details, I wanted to start adding some role-playing touches, I placed some wooden signs, bags that hide things and I chose to put a chest there, I thought it was interesting to highlight and make this, evidently, the map of a role-playing adventure. Not without also starting with the lines in black, this takes me little time and gives it that cartoonish sense of coming to the end that I love. Without this, I don't feel like I'm moving forward, I'm very critical when creating.

Ya tiene cierta vida que no quiero apagar ni empeorar, por eso puse algunos detalles en color hielo por el suelo y también algún pasto, porque no todo debe ser hielo ¿Verdad?

Y así quedó el terminado, espero que les guste y se imaginen como yo, alguna continuación y otros sectores del mapa. También pensé en hacer un laberinto dentro del correo, en caso que los héroes de la aventura eligieran entrar, tener algo allí que descubrir allí, o esconder en caminos sin salida algún tesoro... ¿Cómo se lo imaginan? ¿Iluminado? ¿O quizás algo abandonado y oscuro ?

O quizás volver a escribir las opciones y tirar los dados :D

It already has some life that I do not want to turn off or worsen, so I put some details in ice color on the ground and also some grass, because not everything should be ice, right?

I hope you like it and imagine as I do, some continuation and other sectors of the map. I also thought of making a labyrinth inside the post office, in case the heroes of the adventure choose to enter, have something to discover there, or hide in dead ends some treasure... How do you imagine it? How do you imagine it, illuminated? Or maybe something abandoned and dark ?

Or maybe rewrite the options and roll the dice :D

Como extra, acompañando el post, estos días fueron bastante en el mood de juego de mesa, dados, y uchas imagenes como inspiracion aparecieron, es por eso que, al no tener más para acomapañar el post, decidí usar estar imagenes, aunque no son dibujos terminados, ni proyectos que iba a mostrar, me parece que la temática acompaña y puede ser disfrutable.

As an extra, accompanying the post, these days were quite in the mood of board game, dice, and many images as inspiration appeared, that's why, not having more to accompany the post, I decided to use these images, although they are not finished drawings, or projects that I was going to show, it seems to me that the theme accompanies and can be enjoyable.

Si bien disfruté mucho de dibujar este personaje, los cuernos, el rostro, y el arma que lleva en sus manos, no puedo negar que colorear los pequeños detalles en acuarela del otro dibujo, las sombras en los dados, el fuego, o las pequeñas flores, no fueron más mi estilo. Es dificil, pero seguiré buscando siempre mejorar, sobre todo en las cosas que menos hago, porque las que son disfrutables, ya tienen un skill alcanzado, jaja. Saludos, y buen domingo para todos!!

Although I really enjoyed drawing this character, the horns, the face, and the weapon in his hands, I can't deny that coloring the small details in watercolor of the other drawing, the shadows on the dice, the fire, or the small flowers, were not my style anymore. It's difficult, but I'll always keep looking for improvement, especially in the things I do less, because the ones that are enjoyable, already have a skill reached, haha.
