Sunsets and sunsets are a festival of colours.
We are used to seeing them from the plain or from the sea, when the surface is flat and when the limit of the horizon allows us to see this variety of colours ranging from intense red to the lightest orange.
But what are the predominant colours of a sunset among the mountain peaks?
To do a test on my last trip to a place close to the Andes, I parked the car on the side of the road, chose the most appropriate spot and took these pictures which I hope you like.
There are many wonders in this world that often go unnoticed and this is one of them.
It is a marvellous gift that nature gives us every day and that repeats itself to infinity with every sunset.
All around me, silence fell along with the sun in the solitude of the road, and my aim was to find an ideal position so as not to miss the moment, especially as the sun falls sharply to a certain point above the horizon line.
That moment when we see for the last time the colours of the sunset becomes a real emotion...
One of the greatest aspirations of the mountain photographer (professional or amateur, in this case what counts is the intention to get a good photograph in natural scenery) is to capture the best light on the ridges and in the sky.
And in this case the favourite moments are sunrise and sunset, but you have to be especially careful, you have to choose well the valleys, where to shoot and, of course, how to do it.
