It's just a common Lava Spider, SQUASH it!
Here's my battle for this week.

I went out of my way to try an unconventional fire lineup and use the Lava Spider for this week's challenge. It actually worked. I had only ever used the Lava Spider a couple of times before. My opponent didn't know what hit them.
My lineup included
The summoner: Pyre
When Chaos Legion came out and we saw our first glimpse of Tarsa, our collective mouths watered. This new card is sooo good? It gives fire creatures increased melee and increased speed. Those old summoners are obsolete. It was probably wise that Tarsa got nerfed. The increased health is still fantastic but probably not as valuable as speed would have been. My go to summoners for Blast rulesets are Kelya and Pyre. You can get in and decimate the opponent's team before they start to move.
Pyre's speed gives my monsters a chance to dodge and a chance to hit my opponent's monsters. I would normally expect to have 2 or 3 misses against a Unicorn Mustang and a Child of the Forest.
The tank: Molten Ash Golem
In a tank you want a monster that can hit hard and that can take a hit (like a Unicorn Mustang). The Molten Ash Golem does one of those things. In the current meta where most teams smash face at the front of the line you need something that can soak up a lot of hits. The 9 health on Molten Ash Golem gave my monsters on the back line time to work.
The backup tank: Lava Launcher
This card actually looks more like your typical tank. With so much of the damage that it can soak up in the armor it doesn't do so well against magic attacks. It also lost some of that armor to the Wizard of Eastwood before our battle began. I felt lucky that I hadn't put Lava Launcher in front.
Bringing up the rear: Lava Spider
Everybody's got one in the starter deck but most of us forgot it was there. We're all too busy playing serpentine spy. The Lava Spider's Snipe ability was critical in this battle. After taking out the Goblin Psychic my team was finally able to finish off the Unicorn Mustang.
I did not expect this strategy to work. I chose my lineup as a chance to use the Lava Spider. In the future, hopefully I'll be more open to trying new things.
The lava spider is great! In the future, I hope to make Lava Spider a part of more battles. Many people have commented on Yodin which has great synergy with Lava Spider, but the Spider can do some work on its own. We often want to hit for more than one damage, but each bit of damage becomes more valuable when you can place it in the right part of your opponent's back line. I didn't think much of the Lava Spider until I tried it out.
