This weeks card for the Splinterlands "Share your Battle" challenge is Temporal Master.

I've never really used this card so this weeks challenge had me examine the stats for the first time. In my opinion this card is completely backwards. First of all, to have the special ability "Recharge" means this card lays dormant for one turn. When it does attack, it then hits with 3x the attack points. But with such low HP you hope he doesn't get killed first. Then with only 1 attack point, in 2 rounds he fires off 3 damage. Not that impressive. But before we look at the battle I selected, let's look at all of the battle stats and lineup.

-League: Silver
-Ruleset:Keep your distance & Heavy Hitters
-Mana-cap:21
-Splinters:Life VS Life

My battle is a Silver League battle with a Mana Cap of 21. The rulesets are both "Keep your Distance" and "Heavy Hitters". These rulesets mean that no melee attacks may be used and every monster will have the special ability "knockout". This special ability means any monster that attacks a monster who is stunned will do 2X the damage. Both teams will be using the only available Splinter for selection which is the "Life" splinter.

My strategy in this battle was centered around the fact that only the "Life" splinter was available to use. Most players using "Life" are going to use ranged attacks. So to counter that, I used Ilthain for my Summoner. This gives all of my monsters the "Return Fire" ability. That means any damage taken by ranged attacks will send an attack back at the enemy. Also, most of the ranged attacks are to the front line. This means I can put "Temporal Master" in the back and he should be safe to recharge. For a tank I use the "Warrior of Peace" card because he has a high HP as well as speed. If they do land an attack, they take damage as well. But with the increased speed from the Summoner, the warrior of peace can be very hard to hit. Not to mention this card has the "Demoralize" ability. This ability lowers the melee attack of all enemies. So with a weakened melee attack, and ranged attack being shot back, the enemy will definitely be taking more damage than giving. As for our focus card, "Temporal Master" he gets to sit back and recharge and let off a couple shots safely. But as I said before it's just really not that impressive. But with this entire strategy laid out in front of us he was able to do some damage. However on a usual case basis I would have probably used a different card. Check out my link below to see the battle unfold. All support and follows will be returned thank you for reading my post.

Special thanks to @braxtonbuygoo for selecting the enemy team
