Hello all and thank you for taking your time to read my post for this weeks Battle Challenge. This week we are using the "Prismologist" card.
Let's look at the statistics:
"Prismologist" is an Epic Life Splinter card. It has a very strong ranged attack. As well as some armor for battle. The special abilities in the lower levels include "Blast". The "Blast" ability allows this card to do damage to the card it is attacking, as well as any cards adjacent to the one being attacked. This ability plays a big part in the victory of My chosen battle. Let's take a look at my Battle, Rulesets and chosen Lineup.
Ruleset: Standard
Mana Cap: 25
Splinters: Life VS Life
My chosen battle this week is of the standard Ruleset. With a Mana Cap of 25. The splinters used are Life versus Life. I chose this battle because it is a good display of how useful the "Prismologists'" special abilities can be. Follow my link, at the end of the post, to see the battle unfold. But first we'll take a look at my chosen Lineup.
THE SUMMONER
General Sloan
I use this Summoner for the increased ranged attack given. Since the prismologist is a ranged attacker this Summoner increases the cards attack power.
The "Prismologist" card has an attack power of 3 before the summoners boost. Using this Summoner to summon "Prismologist" gives a very strong attack. This will also increase the power of the blast given by the "Prismologists" special ability.
The Monsters
Pelacor Conjurer
Venari Crystalsmith
Spirit Hoarder
Herbalist
Xenith Archer
Prismologist
My strategy for this battle setup is best used against a primarily melee attacking enemy. This is why I use the "Pelacor6 Conjurer" as a tank. With his "flying" ability he can dodge many attacks. Also, if the enemy is using an anti-melee tank you won't have to worry about hitting any thorns. My tank is then backed up by the
"Venari CrystalSmith" which has the tank heal ability. Being a ranged attacker the Crystal Smith, as well as all other ranged attackers on the team, will have increased attack power granted by the Summoner. This is the the reason I put both the "Herbalist" and the "Xenith Archer" as attackers.
If the enemy tries to attack from the back, the combination of "Spirit Hoarder" and "Prismologist" make it very difficult to overcome by sneaking around the back. This is on account of the "Prismologist" coming equipped with armor. And the fact that "Spirit Hoarder" has the "Triage" ability. This ability allows Spirit hoarder to heal any card that is taking damage in the backfield. Finally, it was the ability of the "Prismologist" that sealed the win. The "blast" ability was able to eliminate the second card in the enemy lineup, which was the enemies armor repair unit. Because the enemy tank was unable to receive any additional armor during battle, the whole team fell apart rather quickly. Click my link below to see this all play out. Thanks again for reading my post any support or tips will be returned accordingly.
Special thanks to @ding1468 for selecting the enemy team
