Splinterlands - Road to Diamond League in Modern

image.png

Hello everyone, It is the start of season again in splinterlands. I was able to reach silver II last season and was reset to Bronze I.

My goal today is to reach and stay on the diamond league, I know there are a lot of players using OP combos and Meta strats there, that is why I have rented cards that are high in level. Personally, I think it is a great idea to remove the level cap when playing, it is very difficult to reach the highest rank to be able to try different combos with high level cards before, but now it is possible.

Here are the cards I rented to climb the rank:

As you can see I'm still using the same strategy, renting out cheap cards and make the most out of it, but this time I rented out high level ones to make sure that I overwhelm the opponent with level. This way, even tho they use meta cards, I can still win.

I started having difficulty winning when I reached silver III, high level and meta cards started appearing. Nonetheless, I still pushed thru hoping that my high level cards can push me to diamond.

Almost lost on this battle.

The rewards per win is not bad at all, I did not rent any sps and only have 27k staked sps in my account.

I will add more SPS to the game once the SPS token stabilizes, although it is a good time to buy tokens as prices are relatively low, I still want to make sure that the game does not collapse rendering my investments useless.

One of the best battles I have had this day is this one, Both using magic line up and both have high level cards. I thought I was going to lose but the Magic of Chaos made me win.

I have spent 47 energy and was able to reach silver II, the battles were quite hard at modern league compared to wild league but the rewards are definitely better. For now, I will wait until my energy goes back to full again. What i have learned from these battles is that losing is okay because it makes you realize where you went wrong, and for me, I have learned more strategy that i can incorporate next time.

That's all for today guys, thank you for taking the time and reading this blog, have a wonderful day.
