Hello Splinterlandians,
for this weeks share your battle challenge I have a very special battle for you. Unfortunatly I haven't won it, but I don't want to withhold it from you, because it was really frustrating for me...
But I don't want to waste your time, let's jump into the battle!
Ruleset & Lineup:
For the start of introducing my battle, I want to show you the ruleset and the lineups.
As you can see, only the earth and water splinter were available to play and there was a mana cap of 56. Spreading Fury and Melee Mayham were the rulesets for this battle.
I decided to play with Mylor Crowling from the earth splinter, because the two rulestes, Spreading Fury and Melee Mayham, benefit especially melee attackers, so I thought Mylor is a great choice, giving all my monsters the thorns ability and countering the opponents melee atackers. On top of that, I played earth, because I have some great melee attackers for it, especially Grund with the Double Strike.
Unfortunately my opponent, didn't decide to play with that many melee attackers. His strategy was to play with Djinn Oshannus on the first spot and support him with Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling from the back line. Djinn Oshannus will profit from the Spreading Fury rulest, because he'll have so much speed when enraged. That alone wouldn't be a problem, but my monsters only attack the first enemy monster. I have no Sneak, Snipe or Opportunity monster in my lineup to kill his supporters in the back.
It will be important to get Djinn Oshannus down, after that it'll be an easy game.
Highlights:
I won't show you the whole battle, because all in all there were 18 rounds of pure frustration, I'll go into more detail on that later. But I will show you some higlights of the battle, which are worth mentioning in my opinion.
- Highlight #1
After the first five rounds the opponents Deep Lurker and Sand worm got killed by the thorns. I lost my Mycelic Infantry at the front and my Gargoya Lion at the back.
At this point, I already had a huge amount of misses on Djinn Oshannus. His lowest health I've got him were 3 health, but when I got Djinn Oshannus that low, some misses of my monsters follow and the Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling will heal and armour him up.
I still had some hope to win the battle, because my opponent will only do 2 damage per round and I had 4 monsters with some good attack left.
- Highlight #2
After many misses later in round 11, I got Djinn Oshannus down to one last health point. It looked good and at this time I was sure to win this battle. But the fate had another plan for me...
- The End
Like I said in the beginning, I've lost the battle. In round 18 Djinn Oshannus attacked the last time and killed my last monster. By the way, he healed up from one health in round 11 to his maxium health.
Last words:
Watching this battle live, was really frustrating for me. Seeing that many misses on Djinn Oshannus was insane. I counted all misses on him and prepard the following for you:
Miss Counter on Djinn Oshannus: 44
A total of 44 misses on one single monster in one battle... Unbelievable. I don't want to know how much Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling healed and armoured up in total, maybe some of you feels that motivated to count the total and share it in the comments. 😂
That's the end of the post and the end of my entry for this weeks share your battle challenge. If you want to enjoy the battle as a whole just klick on this link.
