For this BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! players had to share their strategies in battles using the Even Stevens rule as a starting point, this rule consists of using monsters with odd mana requirements, that is only monsters between (1,3,5,7 and onwards...), today I will share my participation for this challenge.
If you haven't seen my post about a strategy using the earth element with the summoner Prince Rennyn, you can access it at: Using Prince Rennyn With the Benefits of Ranged Monsters - Splinterlands
『✦』My composition for the battle
About the rule that monsters with physical attack can use the Sneak skill to surprise the enemies by attacking in the last position I chose to select four of this class differentiating only one ranged shooter that would be Scavo Firebolt, then we have Xenith Monk as the second tank with his ability to heal himself and then I added Venator Kinjo thanks to his ability to hide avoiding attacks from monsters with Opportunity, Snipe or Sneak, I don't use it much due to its low offensive and defensive attributes although in any battle that we have the rule that adds the Blast ability to all monsters I just add it in second place to protect my third or second to last to have the same effect, in the fourth position I put a low mana tank but with the Shield skill for if the enemy had the same thought as mine he would not have big advantages attacking with monsters with only 1 attack point or reduce for that, I did not believe after checking the enemy team but my biggest hit choice was the tank that ended up being the success for me to win this battle, thank you very much Tusk The Wide.
Although I have hardly used it between my two seasons I consider it the best magic tank in the fire element, I even considered during the selection time to add a traditional monster like Grum Flameblade that although not having the same ability could withstand the magic attacks on its armor that is no small thing, or maybe a tank with Shield ability thus reducing the opponent's physical attack, but this final choice managed to give me the advantage over Djinn Oshannus and Doctor Blight that could easily eliminate my team thanks to magic power, so the monsters in the battle involved are:
- DUCKTHEDUCK
Tusk The Wide - Xenith Monk - Venator Kinjo - Antoid Platoon - Scavo Firebolt
- TAMIL
Djinn Oshannus - Torrent Fiend - Furious Chicken - Halfling Alchemist - Tortisian Fighter - Doctor Blight
I did not understand the fact that my opponent assembled such a varied composition and chose a summoner that benefits physical monsters and that could eliminate the enemy on his turn to then get the benefit of trampling that the ability gives, perhaps a summoner as Alric Stormbringer and some more magic monsters would make me a big target without protection with the exception of Tusk The Wide, here was also a great example that nothing matters monsters at higher levels than yours if in fact he does not have a good strategy to fight his monsters, I don't understand why I'm seeing players using Furious Chicken recently in high levels like 4 or 5, this is strange because I consider these monsters with no attack or almost no attack with maximum health less than 2 to be used only as a discard card or safety to eliminate the possibility of the enemy to attack an important monster in battle and lose his turn focusing on this monster, an example is this battle that even being level 4 he is no better than any monster in battle, in short just a discard for me.
Although in this 3rd round I seemed to be choked with eliminating Scavo Firebolt while my enemy still contained all the initial monsters, I was already realizing that he did not have enough front line attack to eliminate my main and secondary tank, This made his defense his weak point since without attack to take out Tusk The Wide he opened opportunity for Xenith Monk and Venator Kinjo to act eliminating the monsters in the comfort zone behind Djinn Oshannus, as a benefit of Void I had no worries with Doctor Blight and his possible negative effects, and speaking of this doctor we have the following situation in round 8:
It ended up that he was without any attack to try to defeat me, with this simply my victory was already guaranteed, an advance as a personal opinion here is that I find no need to post all the context of the monsters used as their attributes from beginning to end or even their history, I believe that these contents are redirected to players and lovers of Splinterlands and its ecosystem, with this in mind it is very likely that just like me who recently joined the community know some sites with all this information as Splintercards, PeakMonsters or the official game site, so forgive me if I do not add this information that I consider unnecessary just to fill the post with random words, I hope you who are reading understand my thinking.
Thank you for taking the time to read, if it pleases you leave a positive vote and perhaps a comment to assist me in creating other content on the Hive blog platform, a great week to you. Until next time.
