New Challenges and Brawl Guild Ahead - Splinterlands

IMG_2565.png

I finished my season in Splinterlands in Silver (I), my reward was not one of the best however I already had no great expectation with this, I am already a player of Play2Earn games like Axie Infinity and I know that usually the ones that contain leaderboards you always need to be above the considered achievable without much investment, that happens with rewards from Bronze to Silver, so this season I am focused on reaching the Gold league of Splinterlands and improve my monetary return.

As mentioned in the previous post my guild 第一公會 #1 GUILD was very well structured for guild battles, so even with my bitter defeats in a row they managed to stay in fourth position earning us great merit rewards and $SPS, I even like that automatically the token earnings are retained in the wallet because with that I can hold my anxiety to sell the tokens and still earn a Stacking return on another $VOUCHER token, used for discounts and promotions in the Splinterlands ecosystem, with all this I managed to buy my first pack of the Gladius collection, although I have not won some epic or legendary cards I ended up receiving some interesting monsters that I am enjoying a lot their use both in Brawl and in Ranked battles when the rule allows.

Katrelba Gobson has become my favorite monster because of its sneak attack

This particular monster is being my most used monster in Brawls as I usually use the earth element composition in the following order as a base:

Immortalis - Unicorn Mustang - Queen Micelya - Goblin Psychic - Mushroom Seer or Goblin Tower

The Immortalis has been my triumph against battles that allow a lot of magic or Quora, this is due to its triumph of adding the ability that reduces the magic damage on all allied monsters, still with the ability of Mushroom Seer that will decrease the opponent magic attack by -1 allowing that if the enemy contains monsters in battle that the final attack resulted in only 1 point to be totally ignored on my monster. It surprised me that I got this summoner for a measly 0.100 $DEC daily for its benefit offered, perhaps the players only focus on the destructive power of Scarred Llama Mage or Obsidian when it comes to the element earth, as I love what the AI art can create I decided to try this summoner following his Lore available on the official site of Splinterlands, based on his appearance and plot proposed the final result we can analyze below:

『✦』New Season and Brawl Guild Battle Optimization

I confess that I am more optimistic about the Brawl Guild battles than the rankings of the season, I think the rewards can be better between these two modes, however I may still be wrong since after reading @zaku post about his final rewards I noticed that some tournaments can be very rewarding and there is another important point about the competitiveness that lies there and not the strange feeling of always being against Bots in ranked mode with predictable compositions even too much, it seems to me that using the composition with Wave Brood as a tank, while adding two monsters with the ability to heal the tank and a monster with a great offensive power has become a new meta among Bot users, good that I have already managed to create a composition to be able to counter this with the same element, I can only say that are monsters with double attacks to be able to reduce as much health as possible from Wave Brood.
Post mentioned: Zaku's Splinterlands EOS Reports (Season 110 Summary)

Besides all these events I got my first victory in Brawl, and also curiously it was against someone using Wave Brood as the main tank, however this was due to the fact that the Ruleset forbids melee or magic attack monsters, I then set up a composition that prioritized the defense of the front line while the last three monsters would be the main damage causeers on the enemy, I was able to accomplish my strategy with the great choice of the summoner Lir Deepswimmer that besides adding +2 to the allied monsters armor it has the benefit of returning all distance attack, it was like me having more monsters in battle than my opponent with this extra damage generated, I can also say that the highlight was for this humanoid turtle that has the ability to repair the allied armor, maybe the counterpart of this ability is the randomness of the choice of who to use first or has a priority list that I don't know yet.

In this other battle using the Mylor Crowling summoner it was interesting the fact that Gobson's Bloodlust ability works even when the enemy is eliminated with the benefit of Thorns from the summoner, but once again the right choice of summoner made me get the victory regardless of the monsters used, The battle continued without me being able to use the first two monsters, just them receiving the opponent's attack while Thorns was doing its effect, in the last round it was only necessary to finish the enemy with the last monster on the battlefield, this left me divided on the investment question if I should level up the summoners or buy some legendary monsters for collection power or use.

For this season I'm already with a little more skillful monsters for my team, as I got in trouble before in battles that banned my water, earth and death elements and I was hampered without monsters strong enough to help me I'm now with a water, earth, death and light deck, I still have the idea that dragon monsters are not that interesting to the point of being focused to build something, however even if the Ruleset only leaves it as an available element I can manage a little with the monsters already obtained randomly, currently my daily cost is 141. 002 $DEC per day.

I still find this price and amount quite acceptable and even cheaper than I expected, remembering that the highest cost monster is Scarred Llama Mage costing 13,939 $DEC per day.
