Hello Friends,
@splinterlands/share-your-battle-weekly-challenge-twisted-jester
Happy to be back blogging on Splinterlands Weekly Challenges.
Nice to see the original theme back on these challenges with introduction of Armorsmith last week and Twisted Jester in this week's challenge!!!
Twisted Jester being an Alpha and a Beta version monster, still many of us new players haven't got enough of those Beta or Alpha monsters except for few got thru either giveaways or delegations.
Have to acquire one thru purchase from monstermarket with little DEC I earned so far and I am sure it will be a good investment as Twisted Jester bolsters my Death Splinter.
Twisted Jester being a Rare Death Splinter monster and a ranged attack type monster with ability to attack like a sniper thru snipe ability and also evades attack with it's dodge ability.
It's 2 ranged attack with initial level with 3 speed and 4 health is not bad and can be a handy monster when we have right melee attack.
Below stats show the full level-wise details of attack, speed and health for this monster:

A battle with high mana cap always fascinates Splinterlands players and the same with me with this battle which had 50 mana cap and battle scenarios Silenced Summoners and Melee Mayhem.
Now, with Silenced Summoners, we don't get any stats buff or debuff from Summoner we use and Melee Mayhem is like heaven for Splinterlands battlers as it enables all monsters to attack the monster which is at front on opposite side except if a monster is sneak or opportunity monster.
This battle allowed me to use a lineup as below with huge 50 mana cap:
Bone Golem:
This being a melee mayhem battle and Bone Golem with void ability, I thought would be good against any magic attack besides it's 6 health with 2 armors even against melee and ranged attack.
Animated Corpse:
Another low mana cost monster used in second position to protect my other high cost and high attack monsters.
Undead Rexx:
A must use monster in all melee mayhem and super sneak battles and also will be a useful one to use as front monster in selected scenarios.
Used this solely for it's 5 melee attack.
Goblin Mech:
Another huge monster with huge melee attack and it's armors are a super plus.
Twisted Jester:
The monster for this week's theme, used to check any magic or ranged attack on other side and yes, we had few.
Octopider:
A ranged attack monster with good attack to fill that required mana cap :)
With this lineup, I went to take on an Earth Splinter monsters in Unicorn Mustang, Goblin Chariot, Orc Sergeant, Elven Mystic, Mantoid and Elven Defender for this nice battle.
Round 1:
Round one itself saw end of 2 monsters from other side with Unicorn Mustang and Goblin Chariot getting removed from Goblin Mech and co.
Round 2:
If round 1 saw 2 monsters getting removed, round 2 was even more severe with 5 monsters losing out, 3 for opponent and 2 for me.
Opponent's Orc Sergeant, Elven Mystic and Mantoid lost in this round while the theme monster of Twisted Jester and front monster from my side Animated Corpse also removed.
Round 3:
It didn't take much time to remove the last monster from other side, i.e. Elven Defender with a thumping win for me!!!
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
As the results show, yes, it was a good strategy to use those melee monsters with couple of ranged ones including theme monster of Twisted Jester.
If I had a Lord Arianthus, I would have used that in first place and that is the only thing I would have tried differently had I had a Lord A.
Do you use the TWISTED JESTER often? Why or why not?
Not really, I just purchased one for this challenge and hopefully I will use it more and more in coming battles.
Thanks for reading, I just hope you enjoyed reading this.
