Hello everyone, this time I want to share with you some tips on how to rank up to reach diamond, if you don't have cards to play, specifically in the modern format.
First of all I want to share how I started renting cards. Around December of last year, I don't actually remember how, but I found the website NFTy Arcade website, which was mainly helping new players. I didn't know how this actually worked, so I just created an account and rented a deck for my alt account: langice, which I'm playing on now. It was very easy, with just a few clicks you could rent a max deck, mostly chaos legion cards. I liked that because I didn't have to rent card by card. But unfortunately, the team in charge of this, decided to no longer support the project anymore, after it failed to attract new players. So, I just stopped playing, but after a month or so, after seeing some epic battles in the high rankings, I specifically wanted to come back to the modern format, since in the wild format there are mostly bots and I don't like that. Also, I decided to get all the soulbound chaos legion cards in max level, sadly, I was unable to complete them due to the release of the new soulbound rebellion cards. I'm now determined to get these cards, so I want to share how I do it on an account with no cards. I hope this can help new players get into the game.
I will share some tips from my own experience. First, Peakmonsters makes it easy to rent cards, and right now if you want to win in the modern format, for just $1 you can rent most chaos cards at the max level sufficient to play and win battles. Of course, to earn rewards (glint and staked sps), you will also need to stake or rent sps. Just an example, in the gold league I think renting 30,000 sps is enough, which only costs 420 dec ($ 0.33) per week.
I made some decks on Peakmonsters sorted by rarity, to make it easier for you to rent cards, just go here: https://peakmonsters.com/decks , and in Filters-Deck Creator - type: aubryd and apply.
Then simply click on Rent (at level) All, and it will automatically select the cheapest cards available.
As you can see it is very cheap, of course the rental price is only an estimate, and can vary, but not too much.
If you don't have a Venari Marksrat or Fungus Flinger, I 100% recommend renting them at least at level 1. The martyr ability is very powerful specially in the Poison ruleset.
I have only selected the chaos legion cards that I have used the most. If you rent all these cards, I guarantee you at least diamond league in modern format, of course if you play correctly and don't give up :P. Some cards may cost a lot more than others, like Immortalis and Lux Vega, but that's simply because they're great, and it's better to have them than lose to them.
