Hi Guys! Another week for splinterlands art contest. For this week, I chose a character named River Nymph as an inspiration for my drawing.
Here are the tools I used for my drawing:
✔Sketch Pad
✔Color Pencil
✔Drawing Pencils
✔Markers
THIS IS MY REFERENCE, THE ORIGINAL RIVER NYMPH
"River Nymphs inhabit the rivers of the Splinterlands. Shy and reclusive, they usually remain hidden beneath the water's surface. However, they have a strong respect for life, and they have been known to aid those in need. They are also fiercely protective of their homes and will defend it if it is threatened."
THE PROCESS
I started by sketching the outlines using a pencil. I further add details and define the shapes.
Next is tracing the pencil outline using a Gel Pen. This is to add finer details and enhance the contrast of my outline. At this step, I also erased the pencil marks for neatness.
Next step is coloring. . .
I decided to put color first on the skin of the character, I chose a simple color of beige.
For the dress, I chose the color pink for it to look girlish or feminine, and another reason is that it is one of my fave colors. 🤗
For its hair, I chose a touch of blue since the original river nymph has blue hair.
The blue butterfly wings just came from my imagination and I think it will make my nymph more beautiful.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
This my my finished fan art. A nymph with a yellow pointed ears and blue butterfly wings.
Thanks for reading my blog! Til next time!
