A punto de cumplir 100 días en La Argentina, faltan algunos detalles para hacer el primer jabón en esta nueva sede.
Siguiendo la bitácora de Aurora Jabón, le corresponde el Nro. 884, pero estoy tentado dar un salto y como se trata de un nuevo comienzo, asignarle el 1.001.
Quiera el título novelesco de la publicación, el número de las noches de Sherezade y este batidor que blando, cual varita mágica, sean el mantra para lograr hacer unos jabones de novela, que dejen complacidos a quienes los usen y satisfagan sus expectativas y mis sueños.
Imposible traer las herramientas e insumos, así que luego de buscar los proveedores idóneos y cercanos, comencé a comprar y preparar todo lo necesario, adaptado al nuevo espacio y al clima. Este último detalle es determinante y de seguro afectará el proceso, por lo que será un aprendizaje el trabajar con otra temperatura ambiental y otros aceites. Por ejemplo, el aceite de coco al que estaba habituado a tener en estado líquido, de momento es una manteca sólida dentro de una botella y tengo dos opciones, cortar la botella y sacarlo a cucharadas o ponerla en baño maría y cuando esté tibio, verter en el recipiente de pesar y mezclar.
En la imagen precedente, se aprecian los primeros insumos adquiridos y entre ellos, se encuentra un molde de silicona, lo cual es una novedad, que estoy por estrenar, pero primero tengo hacerle un soporte que lo contenga, ya que se trata de un material flexible que se deformaría con el peso.
Como siempre hice mis moldes en madera, inclusive con tablas de paletas, me puse a la tarea de preparar este y como aquí no dispongo de herramientas, opté por tomar las medidas y dirigirme a una carpintería donde me suministraran las tablas cortadas a la medida, para luego armarlas en casa.
Para esta tarea compartí la mesa de comedor con mi tejedora favorita @dulce.crucita, incondicional socia de vida desde antes de hacer manualidades, pero esa historia es más larga.
El molde quedo perfecto y en espera del bautizo de fuego, solo falta plastificar la tapa, ya que el material es sensible a la humedad y durante el proceso de saponificación con seguridad se producirá alguna condensación.
El vaso de café, no tiene más función que acompañarme mientras trabajo, ya sea en labores manuales o de escritura, pero no la hora de hacer jabón, salvo que sea parte de la fórmula, lo mantendré retirado, no me vaya a equivocar de frasco y beba lo que no conviene.
La cola de carpintero secó totalmente en 24 horas y ahora toca esperar por algunos detalles que ya están en camino.
Algunos equipos se pidieron mediante el sistema de compra por internet y llegarán en los próximos días, mientras que los artículos menores, como jarras, espátulas, colador y similares, los estoy comprando en bazares del barrio.
Entre las cosas relacionadas con el jabón que me traje en la maleta está este sello tallado en madera, que me lo realizo un aficionado a este arte de tallar madera, ficción que adquirió durante su vida militar, imagino que le toco cubrir largas y aburridas guardias, en que prefirió darle uso a la imaginación para no quedarse dormido.
Solo falta decidir cuál será la fórmula del jabón 1001.

It was impossible to bring the tools and supplies, so after looking for suitable and nearby suppliers, I started to buy and prepare everything necessary, adapted to the new space and climate. This last detail is decisive and will surely affect the process, so it will be a learning experience to work with another ambient temperature and other oils. For example, the coconut oil that I was used to having in a liquid state is now a solid butter inside a bottle and I have two options, cut the bottle and take it out by spoonfuls or put it in a bain-marie and when it is warm, pour it into the weighing container and mix.
In the previous image, you can see the first supplies purchased and among them, there is a silicone mold, which is a novelty, which I am about to use, but first I have to make a support to contain it, since it is a flexible material that would deform with the weight.
As I always made my molds in wood, even with pallet boards, I set about the task of preparing this one and since I do not have tools here, I chose to take the measurements and go to a carpentry shop where they would supply me with the boards cut to size, to then assemble them at home.
For this task I shared the dining table with my favorite knitter @dulce.crucita, an unconditional life partner since before I started making crafts, but that story is longer.
The mold is perfect and awaits the baptism of fire. The only thing left to do is to laminate the lid, since the material is sensitive to humidity and during the saponification process some condensation will surely occur.
The coffee glass has no other function than to accompany me while I work, whether in manual labor or writing, but not when making soap, unless it is part of the formula, I will keep it away, so I don't get the wrong bottle and drink what is not convenient.
The carpenter's glue dried completely in 24 hours and now it's time to wait for some details that are already on the way.
Some equipment was ordered through the online purchasing system and will arrive in the next few days, while the smaller items, such as jugs, spatulas, strainers and the like, I am buying at neighborhood bazaars.
Among the things related to the soap that I brought in my suitcase is this stamp carved in wood, which was made for me by an amateur of this art of wood carving, a fiction that he acquired during his military life. I imagine that he had to cover long and boring guards, in which he preferred to use his imagination so as not to fall asleep.
All that remains is to decide what the formula for soap 1001 will be.
