The old roads, those that cross old coffee and cocoa plantations, some abandoned and others almost.... These are places that, when the fog presses them in, they make you go back in time... And when one walks them in the morning, one can lose the memories and feel the past breathing on the back of the neck... Those are the old roads, the ones that almost nobody walks on, sometimes because they have been forgotten or because they say that people forget themselves there...

Los caminos viejos, esos que atraviesan viejas haciendas de café y cacao, algunas abandonadas y otras casi... Esos son lugares que cuando la niebla los aprieta los hace retroceder en el tiempo... Y cuando uno los camina en la mañana, se pueden perder los recuerdos y sentir el pasado respirándonos en la nuca... Eso son los caminos viejos, esos que casi nadie transita, ya sea por haberlos olvidado o porque dicen que allí las personas se olvidan de sí mismas...

When the mist and the valley dawn in love, the sun stares far away without being able to pass... Then it is a good time to go into the old roads, there you see dead people, there you hear the echoes of the carts and mules carrying the coffee from the sowing to the drying yards... In these old roads, time turns on itself, and our imagination -at least in my case- is transformed into a fantastic chronovisor that takes me back to forgotten times...

Cuando la niebla y el valle amanecen enamorados, el sol se mantiene lejos mirando sin poder pasar... Entonces es un buen momento para adentrarse en los caminos viejos, allí se ven personas muertas, allí se escuchan los ecos de las carretas y las mulas llevando el café de la siembra a los patios de secado... En estos caminos viejos el tiempo gira sobre si mismo, y nuestra imaginación -cuando menos en mi caso- se transforma en un cronovisor fantástico que me lleva a navegar tiempos ya olvidados...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
