Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad, ¿cómo están? En esta vida nos toca ver y experimentar situaciones que nos dejan pensando hasta finalmente llegar a utilizar esa frase de ‘a mí ya nada me sorprende’ que en definitiva hace referencia a algo, que en efecto, nos sorprendió. La verdad es que no puedo asegurar que la diga en serio pues no dejan de sorprenderme las personas con esa poca capacidad que parecen tener para intentar mejorar, porque soy de esas que siempre está intentando avanzar en algo, sobre todo si se trata del aspecto espiritual. Lo más insólito es que la experiencia me demostró que los primeros en juzgar en su mayoría son aquellos que no tienen moral para hacerlo, tal vez por esa razón trato de no ser tan rápida sacando conclusiones. Hace unos días se hizo viral una noticia que me impactó porque un hombre junto a su hijo fueron discriminados por la policía acá en Venezuela debido a la forma en la que estaban vestidos, lo cual me parece increíble, sin embargo, lo que es todavía peor, pude leer varios comentarios en las redes sociales que defendían semejante acción.
La sociedad de hoy siempre me sorprenderme para mal con sus múltiples carencias, hay muchas personas que tienen una idea equivocada sobre la vida a mi parecer porque son los primeros en pretender apuntar con el dedo pero son incapaces de reconocer sus fallas y pretenden hacerles creer a los demás que son perfectos, cuando nadie lo es. Debemos aceptar más temprano que tarde, que la perfección es algo que los seres humanos nunca vamos a alcanzar, aunque a muchos les cueste admitirlo, seguiremos cometiendo errores hasta el día que dejemos este mundo terrenal. Entender eso te ayuda a ser más empático ya que a su vez comprendes que cada quien está haciendo lo que puede de la manera en la que mejor le parece, a veces la única que aprendió, sin caer en los extremos de querer justificar conductas inaceptables, pero la realidad es que existen personas que de verdad creen tener la verdad absoluta sobre todo y se encargan de atacar cualquier cosas que no se parezca a ella.
¿Dónde quedó la tolerancia? La única intolerancia que deberíamos aceptar es la dirigida a la misma intolerancia para evitar encontrarnos en un mundo en donde ciertas personas se den el lujo de pretender limitar la libertad de los demás por sus creencias particulares. No sé si es cosa mía, me pregunto qué tan difícil es respetarnos los unos a los otros, son nuestras diferencias lo que nos hace únicos, es imposible que todos seamos iguales y no deberíamos pretenderlo tampoco, la vida se trata de equilibrio. Ser diferente siempre ha sido un problema, las pruebas de eso se encuentran en los libros de historia, pero podría pensarse que después de tanto tiempo algo cambiaría, que no se vería tan normalizado el atacar a alguien por su estrato social, color de piel, género, preferencia sexual… pero no es así. Día tras día podemos seguir viendo situaciones horribles alrededor del mundo sin que haya un alto definitivo, incluso con ciclos volviendo a repetirse donde los logros de luchas de años han regresado al punto de inicio.
He aprendido a aceptar las cosas como son, pero aun así queda ese mal sabor de boca y me pongo a pensar si llegaré a estar viva para cuando la sociedad aprenda el significado del respeto. Todavía me parece increíble que en el país donde vivo las personas no sean capaces de entender que sus libertades individuales tienen límites, no sé cuándo será ese día en que mis vecinos se den cuenta que colocar música todos los días a volúmenes que no dejan a nadie disfrutar de la paz, es cuanto menos, una muestra de desconsideración. A través de las redes sociales uno se puede dar cuenta que muchos venezolanos piensan que su comportamiento no tiene nada de malo, quizás cuando se está tan acostumbrado al desastre es difícil notar que es allí donde te encuentras… hace unos días leía algunos de los comentarios en una denuncia pública sobre un autobús que tenía puesta la música a un volumen exagerado y había personas burlándose de quienes se estaban quejando, es vergonzoso que pretender tener una mejor civilidad sea visto como motivo de burla por los demás.
Mejorar como personas es una decisión.

Greetings to all the members of the community, how are you? In this life we get to see and experience situations that leave us thinking until we finally get to use that phrase 'nothing surprises me anymore' which definitely refers to something that, in effect, surprised us. The truth is that I can't be sure that I really mean it, because I never cease to be surprised by people with that little capacity they seem to have to try to improve, because I am one of those who is always trying to advance in something, especially if it is about the spiritual aspect. The most unusual thing is that experience has shown me that the first to judge are mostly those who have no morals to do so, perhaps for that reason I try not to be so quick to draw conclusions. A few days ago a news went viral that shocked me because a man and his son were discriminated by the police here in Venezuela because of the way they were dressed, which seems incredible to me, however, what is even worse, I could read several comments on social networks defending such action.
Today's society always surprises me with its many shortcomings, there are many people who have a wrong idea about life in my opinion because they are the first to point the finger but are unable to recognize their faults and try to make others believe that they are perfect, when no one is. We must accept sooner rather than later, that perfection is something that human beings will never achieve, although many find it hard to admit it, we will continue to make mistakes until the day we leave this earthly world. Understanding that helps you to be more empathetic since you understand that everyone is doing what they can in the way they think best, sometimes the only way they learned, without falling into the extremes of wanting to justify unacceptable behaviors, but the reality is that there are people who really believe they have the absolute truth about everything and are responsible for attacking anything that does not resemble it.
Where has tolerance gone? The only intolerance we should accept is the one directed at intolerance itself to avoid finding ourselves in a world where certain people have the luxury of pretending to limit the freedom of others because of their particular beliefs. I don't know if it is just me, I wonder how difficult it is to respect each other, it is our differences that make us unique, it is impossible for all of us to be the same and we should not pretend to be either, life is about balance. Being different has always been a problem, evidence of that can be found in history books, but you would think that after so much time something would change, that it would not be so normalized to attack someone because of their social status, skin color, gender, sexual preference... but it is not so. Day after day we can continue to see horrible situations around the world without there being a definitive stop, even with cycles repeating themselves where the achievements of years of struggles have returned to the starting point.
I have learned to accept things as they are, but even so there is still that bad taste in my mouth and I wonder if I will be alive when society learns the meaning of respect. I still find it incredible that in the country where I live people are not able to understand that their individual freedoms have limits, I do not know when will be that day when my neighbors realize that playing music every day at volumes that do not let anyone enjoy the peace, is at least a sign of inconsideration. Through social networks one can realize that many Venezuelans think that there is nothing wrong with their behavior, perhaps when you are so used to disaster it is difficult to notice that this is where you are... a few days ago I was reading some of the comments in a public complaint about a bus that had the music on at an exaggerated volume and there were people making fun of those who were complaining, it is shameful that pretending to have a better civility is seen as a reason for mockery by others.
Improving as people is a decision.
