Zing Token Investment updates and goals

In the past week, I have been obsessively observing the different APRs on the Holozing website while scheming on how to maximize the opportunities they present. I get very excited with things like this and sometimes it just becomes difficult for me to keep my mouth shut. But why keep it shut? I want more people around me to know about Holozing and so I told a friend @zekea, who has been inactive on Hive, about it and we started to make plans on how to invest in the project. He even plans to start blogging again in the near future.

Right now, the biggest goal for us is to increase our positions in the zing.swap.hive liquidity pool. For me, I initially had an optimistic goal of investing $1k in the pool in the next couple of months but I had to cut that number in half. So, I'm aiming at $500 invested in the pool in the next couple of months. Right now I have just $28 in the pool and $500 seems really far but I think I can do it. Currently, most of my Hive earnings go into this pool and I just put back the rewards as they come. It's going to take me quite the effort to reach this goal but I will definitely do it.

Current Position

The liquidity pool APR is lower than what it was last week but it is still really high. I am not deterred from increasing my position rather I am much more emboldened. In fact, I also planned to buy more Poshtokens after seeing the APR surpass the Liquidity pool on certain occasions in the past week but then I changed my mind after the Announcement that the rewards will be discontinued in a couple of weeks. It's sad but it makes sense to me especially given that the posh rewards just added another utility to the poshtoken and really not much value to Holozing. Well, there are other ways to earn zing that will still be available to us and I plan to maximize all of them.

I read a post from someone who said that Holozing "rewards you more than you support it" and I just can't stop thinking about how true that is. I don't think many people really realize this just yet.

It seems like the most popular method of earning zing right now is through hive delegations. There are about 4.2 million HP delegated to the zingtoken account compared to about 140K Hive worth in the liquidity pool. Of course, HP delegation is the safest type of investment in the project now so it makes sense that more people prefer it.

I've also started to look into delegating more HP to the holozing account. Last week, I increased my delegation from 100HP to 200HP but now I think I should have just made it 300HP. I have about 450HP and I don't really vote manually because I don't have the time to be on Hive a lot so delegating it would be a good way to put it to good use. I also don't blog so often for Resource credits to be a problem. So, I will just have to cancel the current delegation and wait 5 days to delegate more again. Right now, the APR is 32% and that is more than it was when I first started to pay attention to this project.

Zing staking currently has a higher APR than the HP delegation but still in the same range. The compounding nature of these rewards is really amazing to me. If I delegate HP, I get to receive staked Zing that I can claim and would still get me more rewards. I've never bought zing and staked it but I receive staked rewards from HP delegation and the rewards compound on their own. I love to see it!

For the past couple of weeks, I have been focusing a lot on the liquidity pool but I have decided to really take the HP delegation much more seriously. I don't think I will buy and stake Zing but I will just let the rewards come from the delegations and claim them as they come. I plan to have at least 1k hive delegated to zingtoken by April. All these rewards should compound handsomely overtime.

Now What?

Well, I'm just going to keep throwing my Hive earnings into the pool for now. Of course, I will be attentive to know the best ways to invest in the project but for now, the pool is my priority.

I will also keep delegating more HP on a biweekly basis depending on how much I earn that week. I really want these rewards to compound and basically start to be a passive source of income at least in the short to medium term. It would take some discipline and determination to delay gratification but I think I can do it. I am writing this post to hold myself accountable. Let's see how it goes.
