Friends, in some of the pictures below we can see a pair of mushrooms that appear to be growing from damp and rotting wood.

Both mushrooms have smooth, brownish orange caps and are slightly curved at the edges of the cap These mushrooms also look fresh.

This fungus is known as Gymnopilus eucalyptorum This is a species often found growing around logs or soil rich in organic matter.

This fungus also has characteristic bright colors such as orange and yellow, some even purplish red, so it is easy to recognize among dry leaves or damp environments.
