I want to share a craft I've been making and it turned out pretty nice. For weeks I've been thinking that I need to buy another jewelry box because I already have too many rings, bracelets and necklaces, I thought of making something with clay.
I had never worked with clay before, I bought one from a store in DollarCity, pretty cheap. What I did was I opened the clay, kneaded it a little to fix it, when it feels pretty soft it's ready.

Continuing with a rolling pin, I rolled out all the clay until I got the thickness I wanted, I placed it on a round lid that served as a mold to make this base.

I made the following pieces like an arch and I also placed pieces of clay on top.

To put all this together, I first scraped a little clay onto all the pieces, and then added water with a spray bottle to mold and glue them into the shape I wanted.
Para unir todo esto, primero raspé un poco la arcilla en todas las piezas, también fui añadiendo agua con un spray para ir moldeando y pegando en la forma que yo deseaba.
The piece wasn't holding up very well, so before I put it to dry I decided to hold it in place with tape and it worked. The next day when it was more resistant I decided to put it in a brighter place. In total it took 2 days for the piece to dry.
La pieza no se estaba sosteniendo muy bien, así que antes de ponerla a secar decidí sostenerla con una cinta y funcionó, al día siguiente que estaba más resistente decidí colocarla en otro lugar más iluminado. En total fueron 2 días que le tomó secarse a la pieza.
Then I painted it, the colors were black and white so that the jewels would stand out, I also put several layers of varnish to seal everything.
Luego le coloqué pintura, los colores fueron negro y blanco para que resaltaran las joyas, también le coloqué varias capas de barniz para sellar todo.
I placed some of the jewelry here, especially rings and bracelets. A word of advice: I don't recommend buying this clay because it's quite weak, I had some pieces fall off from above before but I managed to fix it well, so if you're going to make something with clay, please buy a good quality one.
Coloqué algunas de las joyas aquí, en especial anillos y pulseras. Un consejo: No recomiendo comprar de esta arcilla porque es bastante débil, antes se me habían caídos algunas piezas de arriba pero logré solucionarlo bien, así que si harán algo con arcilla, por favor, compren una de buena calidad.
