Well, Ms. Hattie, if you are reading this one in 20 years, here's the scoop from good old dad...
I picked up this one online in Midtown last week for $35 USD. What was my thought on this one? Here were a few ideas floating around in my head about this issue:
- It's a 1:25 Captain Marvel ratio...meaing that shops had to order 25 issues of Captain Marvel 27 to be able to receive one of these books (I don't believe a lot of comic book shops would order that many books of this issue)
- It's a Stephanie Hans piece of art; I do love her work quite a bit
- It's Captain Marvel, a pop culture comic book character who I think will have some "legs" long term in terms of collectability and value
Scarcity, good art, and a popular comic book character should keep value up on this book going forward. The last two sales on this book have been $43 USD and $40 USD...so...nothing earth shattering for the time being.
I guess Leofinance has a point?
I have a few more Hattie items en route, so stay tuned, Ms. H; more to come.
