Roots, Trunk, Crown. Ink tree drawing.

Hello friends,

I would like to share an ink drawing of a tree today.

I used shading method called stippling.
Stippling is a way of shading. When you draw dots close together to create darker values and further apart to achieve lighter values.

I did a light sketch with a pencil first. Then I traced it with my Micron black liner.

Once I finished tracing, I switched to stippling. It takes a bit long time, but I find this process calming:-)

Then, I had to decide which lines of the tree should be thicker, to make it look less flat, I traced them with a thicker liner.

I hope you enjoyed the process photos.
