A few days ago I made this skirt for a lady, also a neighbor of the community, she asked me the favor of making this skirt with a piece of fabric she had, and she wanted something simple, easy to make.
There are many people who have sewing jobs done, and they tell us that it is easy to cut and sew, and it is simple.
They see it that way, although everything always has its process, it is not just throwing the fabric on the table and cutting. You have to measure the fabric well, arrange the pattern in the right way depending on the design of the fabric, because it is cut once and if it is not made to measure we lose the work.
That is why we should not always say that it will be ready from one day to another, I have always said come with time, because in my case I am always making clothing arrangements, and like every mom, I also take care of the children, take my daughter to school, help her do her homework, in short, there are many things that are done daily.
But I continue with my sewing, to show how I made this skirt, despite everything it was easy and quick to make it, because the model is simple, although it has a faralao, or ruffle, at the bottom of the hem. So I show how I made it.
Nueva semana, feliz dÃa para toda la comunidad de costura, deseándoles que la pasen muy bien, que el eclipse traiga para todos buenas vibras, y armonÃa. Hace unos dÃa hice esta falda de una señora, también vecina de la comunidad, me pide el favor de hacerle esta falda con retazo de tela que ella tenia, y querÃa algo sencillo, que sea fácil de hacer.
Hay muchas personas que mandan hacer trabajos de costura, y nos dicen eso es fácil cortar y coser, además es sencillo.
Ellos lo ven asi, aunque siempre todo tiene su proceso no es solamente tirar la tela en la mesa y cortar. Hay que medir bien arreglar la tela, acomodar el patrón, en la forma correcta dependiendo del diseño de la tela, ya que se corta una vez y sino se hace a su medida perdemos el trabajo.
Por eso no siempre debemos decir que estará listo de un dÃa para otro, siempre le he dicho venga con tiempo, por que uno en mi caso siempre estoy haciendo arreglos de ropa, y como toda mamá, también atender a los niños, llevar a mi hija a la escuela, ayudarla hacer sus tareas, en fin, son muchas cosas, que se hacen a diario.
Pero sigo con mis costuras, para mostrar como hice esta falda, a pesar de todo fue fácil y rápido en hacerla, ya que el modelo es sencillo, aunque tiene un faralao, o volante, en la parte debajo en su ruedo. Asà que muestro como la hice.
My materials:
1 meter Beverly fabric.
Lace fabric.
Thread. pins, measuring tape, chalk.
Sewing machine.

The skirt is 36cm long, plus 10cm of faralao, for a total length of 46cm.
Then cut the front and back of the skirt, leaving a semicircular opening on one side, and also cut both the wide strip for the faralao and the waistband.
La falda es de largo 36cm, mas 10cm de faralao, para un largo total de 46cm.
Después de corta la parte delantera y trasera de la falda, dejando una abertura en forma semicircular de un lado, y también cortar tanto la tira ancha para el faralao, y la pretina.
This skirt has no zipper or button, as the fabric is flexible enough to be worn.
When I close the skirt at the sides with the straight and zig-zag stitching. I proceed to glue her faralao, before I had passed a loose seam along the edge so I could tuck a little, which makes it easier and placing it with the pins, and then sew it by machine.
Once I have this part ready, I continue with the waistband, which has the embroidered fabric on the front only, so I cut this strip of 10cm wide and the lace strip of 6cm wide, which I sew on one side only, as shown in the picture.
Then I sew it to the skirt to finish the process. Of course, I stitched the hem of the hem with the hemming presser foot on its edge.
Esta falda no lleva ni cierre ni botón, ya que la tela es lo bastante flexible para poder ponérsela.
Al cerrar la falda a los costados con la costura recta y zig-zag. >Procedo a pegar su faralao, antes le habÃa pasado una costura floja por el borde y asi poder arruchar un poco, lo que me facilita y colocando con los alfileres, para después coser a máquina.
Una vez teniendo esta parte lista, continuo con la pretina, la cual lleva la tela bordada en el frente solamente, asi que al corta esta tira de 10cm de ancho y la de encaje de 6cm de ancho, la cual coso en un solo lado, como se muestra en la foto.
Luego la coso a la falda para terminar el proceso. Por supuesto que al ruedo le hice su costura con el prénsatela de dobladillo en su borde.
Another job well done, the lady really liked how it turned out and she says it is very comfortable since the fabric is quite flexible and she is very happy with this design. I am very happy when people like something you make, so I keep sewing something different every day.

Otro trabajo bien hecho, la señora le gustó mucho como le quedó y ella dice que es muy cómodo ya que la tela es bastante flexible y se siente muy contenta con este diseño. me alegra mucho cuando a la gente le queda algo que uno hace, asi seguir cosiendo cada dÃa algo diferente.
