Motivada por la invitación que recibí para participar en el concurso de #NEEDLEWORKYOURBARBIE empecé a pensar como podría hacerlo, ya que no tengo ninguna muñeca de este tipo, en realidad ninguna muñeca, por lo que pregunté a mis amigas y vecinas. Finalmente, una de mis amigas me prestó una muñeca aunque no era una Barbie.
Teniendo la muñeca me fui a comprar hilos para el proyecto, aunque aún no tenía una idea muy clara de lo que iba a hacer.
Motivated by the invitation I received to participate in the #NEEDLEWORKYOURBARBIE contest, I started to think about how I could do it, since I don't have any doll of this type, actually no doll, so I asked my friends and neighbors. Finally, one of my friends lent me a doll even though she wasn't a Barbie.
Having the doll, I went to buy threads for the project, although I still didn't have a very clear idea of what I was going to do.
Decidí dejarme llevar como una niña que juega, no soy diseñadora y recuerden que no llevo mucho tiempo en esto del crochet, así que no busqué la perfección, sino el aprendizaje y disfrutar del proceso. Empecé tejiendo un vestido, guiándome con un video que era para hacer una blusa.
I decided to let myself go like a girl who plays, I'm not a designer and remember that I haven't been crocheting for long, so I didn't look for perfection, but rather learning and enjoying the process. I started knitting a dress, guided by a video that was for making a blouse.
Pero esta muñeca necesitaba algo más que un vestido, así que continué disfrutando del proceso y me puse a elaborar unos zapatitos.
But this doll needed something more than a dress, so I continued enjoying the process and started making some little shoes.
Pero solo con el vestido y los zapatos este conjunto no estaba completo; esta princesa necesitaba un sombrero, uno que fuera a juego, pero que tuviera un color más intenso y contrastante.
But with just the dress and shoes this outfit was not complete; This princess needed a hat, one that matched, but had a more intense and contrasting color.
Esta pequeña necesitaba algo más que un nuevo conjunto, así que le pedí cita en el Spa y la peluquería, obteniendo un nuevo aire.
This little girl needed more than just a new outfit, so I made an appointment with her at the Spa and hair salon, getting a new look.
Aquí no termina todo, faltaban los detalles y aún más importante: las flores.
Everything doesn't end here, the details were missing and even more important: the flowers.
Más no siempre es mejor, por lo que un pequeño detalle floral puede convertirse en el centro de atención de todo el atuendo, resaltando en medio del conjunto.
More is not always better, so a small floral detail can become the center of attention of the entire outfit, standing out in the middle of the ensemble.
Disfruté de esta experiencia al vestir a esta señorita, diseñando cada elemento de manera intuitiva, disfrutando en cada paso como una niña que juega y descubre miles de posibilidades.
Mientras preparaba mi publicación estuve visitando algunas publicaciones de las otras participantes y todas hicieron creaciones bellísimas. Me imaginé un desfile de modas con todos estos diseños increíbles.
Estoy muy feliz de haberme animado a participar en este concurso porque para mí fue una experiencia muy especial.

I enjoyed this experience when dressing this young lady, designing each element intuitively, enjoying every step like a girl who plays and discovers thousands of possibilities.
While I was preparing my publication I was visiting some of the other participants' publications and they all made beautiful creations. I imagined a fashion show with all these incredible designs.
I am very happy that I was encouraged to participate in this contest because for me it was a very special experience.
