A couple of weeks ago, I visited Koh Larn Beach which lies in the Gulf of Thailand, it is about a 7.5km ferry ride from the mainland of Pattaya City, the island has six main beaches and other smaller beaches which are not named and they are all stunning beaches with clear blue waters and white powdery sands. I have visited Koh Larn twice now since living in Pattaya City and I do intend going back for a few more visits to see the other surrounding beaches on this little paradise island but in this post, I like to show you some amazing nature that can be seen on this little paradise island.
On my second trip over to Koh Larn Island, I was on Tien Beach and I when for walkabouts as we call it back home in Australia, away from the main beach area, I have a habit of wondering of into the unknown where as most tourist would just sit on beach getting themselves toasted on there deckchairs but unfortunately, I am a explorer and always curious in wanting to see and find what is around me.
I could see all these huge rocks and boulders up ahead coming in the island by ferry and been a lover of nature especially loving rock formations, I just had to go and peel my eyes on these rocks, so of I went hiking over these rocks and boulders to investigate the colors, forms and shapes of these boulders.
I find a joy looking at rocks and boulders, cause they always lead me to many questions that sometimes are impossible to answer correctly unless you did a lot of research on google, like how did these rocks get here, how old are they, why are they these colors, how did all these colorful streaks get into these boulder and many more questions.
We all know the wind, erosion and climate changes the shapes of the rocks and boulders but what always fascinates me is how the colors and streaks through these rocks and boulders form giving each one these rocks and boulders there own characteristics.
A rocks life is really tough over millions of years getting smashed by the waves, wind and cooked by the heat they still come up smiling and looking great they have got to be one of most appealing piece of nature on this earth, I really admire these rocks stamina.
It was really delighting and exciting hiking up and down these boulders and walking along them patches of powdery white sand beaches, I had already walked about 1km up and down these boulders and when, I came around this bend, I saw this young lady doing some cat-walking and skipping along the front of this cave, I though she was nuts till, I saw her darling the camera man sitting in the cave photographing and videoing her moves that explained it.
Take a closer look in this little cave, a dog in there hibernating, his got the right idea. There was actually quite a few dogs hiding out around these rocks a dogs life on Koh Larn Beach :)
These funny looking green blobs firmly attached to these rocks felt slimy and spongy no idea what they are whether anything lives inside of them or whether they are eatable never seen these sea creatures ever was my first time encountering these alien looking things.
And these sea cactus trees were also remarkable with there curly trunk or root the way they were growing through these boulders.
Would have liked to known the history of this once standing building, it would have had a great view till probably it got wiped out by some huge wave only part of the walls remain standing unfortunately.
This brings me to the end of this amazing hike over these stunning colorful rocks and boulders, was certainly a beautiful part of nature to have seen and experienced. There is always more interesting things to see on a island then just blue water beaches and powdery white sand take that adventure get of the beaten track and go walkabouts :)
