Deer at the Reserve

There are some nature reserves here in Austria where you are able to see some deer at the fence, especially in spots where ther is a salt licking stone or some clear water in a pot they gather around and it is easier to find these animals there. But It cannot be compared to a Zoo since the Reserves for the Deer are often pretty big and when they don't gather around the Salt licking stone or the water, they are usually difficult to spot and hide somewhere deeper in the reserve where trespassing is forbidden or only allowed for the forest ranger.

Outside of a reserve I only saw deer in a running state, when It saw me it would flee to the next hiding spot may it be a field with high growing crops or the forest with some undergrowth. They usually only gather in spots on open grass when it is close to the forest or some other hiding spots.
