Splinterlands firt impressions from a Hearthstone player

Hello everyone!

I decided to write a quick post about what I have found interesting about Splinterlands, even though you can feel the influence of Hearthstone in the game, I would say Splinterlands has a more interesting fast paced action game.

  1. Some abilities from Hearthstone like divine shield transfer healthily to this game. If more are added, they are more than welcome.

2.I enjoy the varying mana cap from match to match, really makes you manage your resources.

  1. From the point above, this is when epic and legendary cards get out of balance, they become more efficient due to the amount of abilities each card has by itself, so a limit in rarity depending on mana cap should be looked at. (Cant begin to count the times one single epic or legendary card wiped out all my monsters).

  2. Really there is no way to earn packs, you need to pay gold coins or DEC. A feature to earn packs should be added, scarcity of packs should be something to balance but accesible. (A new player wont be interested if he cant discover new cards or finds the entry point to hard, a starting cushion should help).

  3. No expectations to earn new things by climbing the ranks, you have to wait until season ends.

  4. Deck building should be encouraged so more strategies develop within each splinter. (Decks a user can make depending on possible mana ranges he could be given)

And that is all! I’ll keep writing my findings as I keep playing.
