Personal acceptance: the path to well-being

In recent years, I have observed how the trend of extreme positivism has been permeating social media. Perhaps it is due to my age, but there comes a point where I detest the continuous use of messages suggesting that anything is possible or that you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. These messages are not realistic. It is true that having a positive mindset can help to face life's adversities, but I do not consider overusing it to be healthy.

As unique individuals, we all have different abilities and that is not a problem in itself. The important thing is to accept oneself, to identify strengths and weaknesses, and to use them to achieve set goals or understand that there are goals that cannot be met and that does not mean failure.

It is important to channel negative feelings constructively. The worst thing one can do is to silence them and bury them within oneself, as they always find a way to come to light. We cannot achieve everything, we do not have to feel good all the time, and it is normal and natural. It is necessary to strive to be resilient in the face of adversity and to know how to pick ourselves up every time we stumble, because we will stumble quite a few times.
