Have you ever read a poem or story that made your heart stop,as you could swear it could be about YOU?
Since my childhood I have always loved literature and the beautiful way in which we can connect just by reading a poem, reflection or a story, so I have always valued the fact that there are people who make these beautiful writings and then we can enjoy reading them. The poet who has touched my heart is the incredible Pablo Neruda, since every poem that this fantastic poet has written has beautiful, reflective messages and with a unique melancholy that I have always loved.
It was in my teenage years when I read for the first time a collection of poems written by him, called 20 poems of love and a desperate song, this is simply art in words, I do not know if you have ever flipped through this collection of poems, but I recommend it 100%. This poem touched my heart because I have always considered myself a faithful defender of love in all its forms, of that love that makes us feel the need to love unconditionally, without any purpose other than to give our heart and everything we are feeling.
Desde mi infancia siempre me ha gustado la literatura y la hermosa forma en la que podemos conectar con tan solo leer un poema, reflexión o alguna historia, por lo que he valorado siempre el hecho de que existan personas que hagan estos bellos escritos para luego poder deleitarnos leyéndolos. El poeta que ha tocado mi corazón es el increíble Pablo Neruda, ya que cada poema que este fantástico poeta ha escrito tiene mensajes hermosos, reflexivos y con una melancolía única que siempre me ha encantado.
Fue en la etapa de mi adolescencia cuando leí por primera vez un poemario escrito por él, llamado 20 poemas de amor y una canción desesperada, esto es simplemente arte en palabras, no sé si alguna vez han hojeado este poemario, pero se los recomiendo un 100%. Este poema tocó mi corazón porque siempre me he considerado una fiel defensora del amor en todas sus formas, de ese amor que nos hace sentir esa necesidad de amar incondicionalmente, sin ningún tipo de propósito más que entregar nuestro corazón y todo lo que estamos sintiendo.
In this fantastic work, poem #15, speaks of that silent, transcendental love that although we cannot even touch, we know that it is with us, that it shelters us, that it embraces us and awakens that sensitivity hidden in our skin, because love goes beyond the sensory senses, love is an act of absolute surrender that allows us to share and live to the fullest experiencing this deep feeling, even in the absence of this loved one. This is how in the undeniable fact of loneliness we can still feel that presence that inspires us to love, to give everything and beyond that, to be able to understand that although we may be physically alone in essence, we can live a 100% intense love.
Love and devotion is what Neruda expresses, there is so much in him to give, that he is not willing to stop living that beautiful feeling and prefers to capture it in memory. In my case, I feel that nostalgia invades me when I read it, because for me it is about a love that has left, that has ceased to flourish and at the same time to exist, that with the cracks of oblivion somehow came the pain, but that will always be trying to be present.
I have felt the emptiness of losing someone because love is a whole, it is a complement, it is what keeps us clinging to reality and often leads us to dream, but when it is not there, we can only feel that memory and that is why I identify with this poem, because it is narrating what my heart has experienced many times.
En esta fantástica obra, el poema #15, se habla de ese amor silencioso, trascendental que aunque no podamos siquiera tocar, sabemos que está con nosotros, que nos cobija, que nos abraza y que despierta esa sensibilidad oculta en nuestra piel, porque amar va más allá de los sentidos sensoriales, el amor es un acto de entrega absoluta que nos permite compartir y vivir a plenitud experimentando este profundo sentimiento, aun en la ausencia de esta persona amada. Es así, como en el innegable hecho de la soledad aún podemos sentir esa presencia que nos inspira a amar, a entregarlo todo y más allá de eso, a poder entender que aunque físicamente podamos estar solos en esencia, podemos vivir un amor 100% intenso.
Amor y entrega es lo que expresa Neruda, tanto hay en él para dar, que no está dispuesto a dejar de vivir ese hermoso sentimiento y prefiere plasmarlo en el recuerdo. En mi caso, siento que me invade la nostalgia al leerlo, porque para mí se trata de un amor que se ha marchado, que ha dejado de florecer y a la vez de existir, que con las grietas del olvido de algún modo llegó el dolor, pero que siempre estará tratando de hacerse presente.
He sentido el vacío de perder a alguien porque el amor es un todo, es un complemento, es aquello que nos mantiene aferrados a la realidad y que con frecuencia nos lleva a soñar, pero cuando no está, solo queda sentir ese recuerdo y por eso me identifico con este poema, porque está narrando lo que muchas veces mi corazón ha experimentado.
