This is a new whisky for me. I'm trying to taste all eight Islay scotches as soon as I can. This is number three. The aroma is powerfully smoky at first then distinctly woody. There is something dusty about it like an old book. I get a floral character and quite a bit of sweetness. The flavor is fresh and salty with a light caramel sweet finish.
