Hi all, I haven't been very physically active lately. I've been doing my daily walk again but that's it. I want more physical activity in my life because the less you move, the lazier you get. Anyway, let's leave this topic here for now and I will leave you with the clock tower I visited last weekend.

There are two clock towers in Adana that all locals know about. One is the Big Clock Tower and the other is the Small Clock Tower. I have seen both of them before, but I didn't have the opportunity to see them closely because I saw them while passing by. The Big Clock Tower attracted my attention more because of its name and I took the bus there.

On my way there, I saw such a drawing on a building. I had never heard the name Halet Çambel before. When I researched it, I saw that she was both the first Turkish female athlete to participate in the Olympics and the person who founded the first open-air museum in Turkey. It is my shame not to know this historical personality, but as they say, it is a shame not to know, but not to learn. Halet Çambel

I was really surprised when I went there because it was even taller than I remembered. The street was also very crowded. Both people and cars were everywhere. People were more interested in the kebab restaurants than the clock tower. I think they are used to it because they see it so much. Maybe the restaurant there is a very famous restaurant but I just don't know.

I went to the bottom of the clock tower and walked around and took photos but I didn't see any information board. It's very strange because it's a very famous tower. In fact, it was the tallest clock tower in Turkey with a height of 32 meters and it was built in 1882. It's also very strong because it didn't collapse during the Adana earthquake in 1998. I wish I had read this information from an information board there and not from the internet, because not everyone will search the internet like me and be aware of the fact that this clock tower has been standing there for years. source

Then I went to the park next to the clock tower and sat for a while. A few people had come to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather. The weather was really beautiful. I mean, of course this is not normal because usually at this time of the year we should be freezing. It's supposed to be freezing but we can go out with a light jacket on. The climates are changing. The consequences are going to be severe, but let's not spoil the mood by talking about it now.

I sat under a tree and thought a little bit about how the days are going, what I'm doing in Hive, how my life is going. I really can't keep track of time. It goes by so fast that sometimes I don't have time to do anything between the time I wake up in the morning and the time I go to sleep at night. I hope you are not like me and that your days are fun and active.

I got up to go back home but I saw something very interesting. A king wearing a crown was walking among us 😂. I think they are shooting for social media here. It was very funny. I wanted to take a photo but then I hesitated and decided it was unnecessary. This photo is enough to honor the king 👑.

On the way home I saw our two little friends. The cats don't care about anything, as usual. I called him 5 times and he didn't even look back. He seemed in a good mood and I didn't want to disturb him any more. The dog was actually looking at me, but just as I was about to take a photo of it, it decided to turn back to the person taking the photo. The slow opening of my camera spoiled things. Anyway, someone took a sweet dog photo instead of me haha.

Hepinize merhaba, son zamanlarda fiziksel olarak pek aktif değildim. Yine günlük yürüyüşümü yapıyorum ama hepsi bu. Hayatımda daha çok fiziksel aktivite istiyorum çünkü insan ne kadar az hareket ederse o kadar tembelleşiyor. Her neyse bu konuyu şimdilik burada bırakalım ve sizleri geçen hafta sonu gezdiğim saat kulesiyle baş başa bırakayım.

Adana'da bütün yerli halkın bildiği iki tane saat kulesi var. Biri Büyük Saat Kulesi diğeri Küçük Saat Kulesi. Ben daha önce ikisini de gördüm ama yoldan geçerken gördüğüm için yakından görme fırsatım olmadı. Büyük Saat Kulesi adından dolayı daha çok dikkatimi çekti ve otobüse atlayıp oraya gittim.

Giderken bir binanın üzerinde böyle bir çizim gördüm. Halet Çambel ismini daha önce hiç duymamıştım. Araştırdığımda gördüm ki hem Olimpiyatlara katılan ilk Türk kadın sporcu hem de Türkiye'deki ilk açık hava müzesini kuran kişi olduğunu gördüm. Bu tarihi kişiliği bilmemek de benim ayıbım ama ne demişler bilmemek değil öğrenmemek ayıptır. Halet Çambel

Gittiğimde gerçekten çok şaşırdım çünkü hatırladığımdan da uzundu. Cadde de çok kalabalıktı. Hem insanlar hem de arabalar her yerdeydi. İnsanlar saat kulesinden çok etraftaki kebap restoranlarıyla ilgileniyordu. Sanırım onlar çok fazla gördükleri için alışmışlar. Belki de oradaki restoran çok ünlü bir restoran ama ben bilmiyorum.

Saat kulesinin dibine kadar gittim etrafında dolaştım ve fotoğraflar çektim ama bir bilgi panosu göremedim. Çok garip çünkü bu çok ünlü bir kuleymiş. Hatta 32 metre uzunluğuyla Türkiye'nin en uzun saat kulesiymiş ve 1882 yılında yapılmış. Ayrıca çok da sağlam çünkü 1998'deki Adana depreminde de yıkılmamış. Keşke bu bilgileri internetten değil de oradaki bir bilgi panosundan okusaydım. Çünkü herkes benim gibi internetten araştırmayacak ve aslında o saat kulesinin yıllardır orada sapasağlam durduğundan haberdar olmayacak. source

Daha sonra saat kulesinin yan tarafındaki parka geçtim ve biraz oturdum. Az sayıdaki insan güzel havanın tadını çıkarmak için parka gelmişti. Hava gerçekten de çok güzeldi. Yani bu tabi ki normal değil çünkü genelde yılın bu zamanlarında donuyor olmamız gerekiyor. Havanın buz gibi olması gerekiyor ama biz üzerimizde hafif bir ceketle dışarı çıkabiliyoruz. İklimler değişiyor. Sonuçları ağır olacak gibi görünüyor ama neyse şimdi bunlardan konuşup tadımızı kaçırmayalım.

Bir ağacın altına oturdum ve günlerin nasıl geçtiğini, Hive'da neler yaptığımı, hayatımın nasıl ilerlediğini biraz düşündüm. Gerçekten zamanın nasıl geçtiğini anlayamıyorum. O kadar hızlı geçiyor ki günler bazen sabah uyandığım ve akşam uyuduğum süre arasında hiçbir şey yapmaya fırsat bulamıyorum. Umarım siz benim gibi değilsinizdir ve günleriniz eğlenceli ve hareketli geçiyordur.

Eve dönmek üzere kalktım ama çok ilginç bir şey gördüm. Taç giymiş bir kral aramızda dolaşıyordu 😂. Sanırım burada sosyal medya için çekimler yapıyorlar. Çok komikti. Bir fotoğraf çekinmek isterdim ama sonradan çekindim ve bunun gereksiz olduğuna karar verdim. Bu fotoğraf kralı onurlandırmaya yeter 👑.

Eve dönerken iki ufak dostumuzu gördüm. Kediler her zamanki gibi hiçbir şeyi umursamıyorlar. Ona 5 defa seslendim ve dönüp bakmadı bile. Keyfi çok yerinde görünüyordu ben de daha fazla rahatsız etmek istemedim. Köpek aslında bana bakıyordu ama tam ben fotoğrafını çekecekken arkasında fotoğrafını çeken kişiye dönmeye karar verdi. Kameramın yavaş açılması işleri bozdu. Neyse benim yerime birileri tatlı bir köpek fotoğrafı çekmiş oldu haha.
