Visualizing the Permaculture / Domes project as I want it to be.
I'm developing a concept of what I want the Dome / Permaculture village to be. Two 8 meters diameter domes, two 6 meters diameter domes. One of the 8 meters diameter is mean to be a project dome, meetings, education and seed storage, while the other domes are residencial ones.
Each dome has dry toilets that needs care in order to obtain natural fertilizer in time. Also there's the need for clean and sustainable energy, solar energy specifically, but I'm still learning everything needed and studying the budget.
Places to hang out, eat, prepare things or use tools are also needed. Of course in a permaculture project or village, sowing is one of the main objectives and most of the places are going to be used for growing food but if we can do it and make it look good is better. This kind of project takes a lot of time and effort, isn't an easy path, but something I learned is that when you plan something the right way everything can be easier than doing things randomly. We aren't disconnecting from the system fast, it takes time and honestly despite we are going to be far from the city, I really don't think that disconnecting completely from the system is possible, but getting away as far as we can is my dream and vector. I want to make it possible with others that have the same interest.
I used this size of the terrain because it was one of the many terrains I saw on sale online and the only one that was flat enough. I know this basic designs lack a lot of details and things that are needed but the thing is that I'm working now and I have less time now. My priority now is to save enough money to start the project.
I found some people that make the domes here in Medellin and I asked for the budget of the skeleton pieces of those four domes, just to have an idea. I know that if we do it ourselves we gonna save a lot of money that we can use in other systems that are going to be needed as the solar system. Later I'm gonna show how can we distribute the inside of the dome for a house and also for the utility dome.
