Indeed its mighty with or without comparison as it has in itself attributes that compels other attributes,it doesn't work alone as its end product has often been desired and destined to be GOODNESS
Greetings family, thanks for the having me here once again, believe we all are good. Today we are looking into the mighty sword, not just a sword, but a sharp sword, some people call it a virtue will some call it all sorts of name, its the English word "PATIENCE".
What Is PATIENCE?
According to oxford language of dictionary, patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious source. But is it that possible or literal as it sounds or its there more, holding on, hanging on despite the negative impact, its deeper than its spellings.
Biblical Meaning of PATIENCE
The quality or virtue of patience is presented as either forbearance or endurance. In the former sense it is a quality of self-restraint or of not giving way to anger, even in the face of provocation; it is attributed to both God and man and is closely related to mercy and compassion source Forbear, endure, even when it hurts and sucks? Restraining even when one can hold anymore.
I just purposefully used two sites of attention to draw of the word PATIENCE. Well known that the opposite of patience is impatience but there is more to that. Showing in the absence or substituting endurance to giving up just as in the case of biblical point of view and tolerance to intolerance as in the case of normal view of patience.
Many quotes have been used just in the case of patience but the one I find mite fascinating is that patience is just not the ability to wait but to keep good attitude while waiting,so it doesn't just end on waiting keeping or spicing it up with a good attitude.
Using myself as a case study, not too long was I in the lab, doing some lab work about epilepsy and using mice as my case experiment,in a particular cage I kept the mice have in it 12each and I have up to 8cages to deal with, having 10minutes spent on each cause I was working on the Neuro behavioural test. The time spent in one of the mice and the number of cages left to be attended to,counting my other daily activities to complete and people waiting for me to deduce a conclusion, all these on my neck, then suddenly, here cones this mouse that keeps on running away from me not to be used for the test as the lab attendant is on my neck because he is running out of time. All these pressure on me being angered of course but how do I hold on not to insult anybody? Meet up with the expectations, deduce the points needed from me and meeting up with time, but thus mouse kept on running away. Imagining the scenario, but I put on a good attitude just as the quote said, didn't show my anger but continued trying to let hold of the mouse, then finally the deed was done, crowing it all that "Patience is the only remedy or antidote to every trouble" according to Plautus.
Very many times have we been wearing impatience and we facing its dividends as it hurts us the more, since we have friend and failed because of impatience, how about we try Patience. Won't it pay off too?.
Found THESE to help in terms of impatience.
(a) Being occupied in time helps in diminishing impatience as it helps in warding off thinking that triggers impatience. Laying hold of good books and some technological tools helps in restoring one to default as the case might be.
(b)isolation from good people around, being too quite and not being that cheerful worsens the case, trying to find out more and asking questions helps a lot as its an antidote.
One FACT about impatience is that being angry, showing being frustrated doesn't shorten the time but elongates it and thereby causing a health issues.
Warding off impatience is a good attitude, before one turns out not to be impatient, having full cognizance of its implications should be taking into considerations.
Being Patient PAYS OFF
