Members of the European Parliament speak out against Ursula von der Leyen's vaccination obligation (December 9, 2021)

Ursula von der Leyen is probably already salivating at the thought of a complete European vaccination obligation (Pfizer shares perhaps?) but here in this video you will hear from 5 Members of the European Parliament who completely disagree.

Background:
Last Tuesday the World Health Organization's top Europe official Hans Kluge said that mandatory vaccinations against the corona virus are an "absolute last resort". At the first look that seems like a positive statement, but in fact it just says that they are not ruling it out.

More and more countries in Europe, including Germany, are debating whether to make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory after Austria announced in November it would make inoculations compulsory as of February 1 next year, prompting large protests.

"The effectiveness of mandates is very context specific," Kluge said, adding that public confidence and trust in authorities needed to be considered.
