It's Hive Power-Up Day! for August 2024

August already! Man, it goes fast.

“And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you’re older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.”

—Pink Floyd

Another month forword in 2024, anyway. We're going to run out of them before too long. Oh yeah, but we have that circus of an election first. That might give us pause for awhile.

ANYWAY, it's Hive Power-Up Day!!

What is Hive Power-Up Day? I'm glad you asked.

Hive-Power Up Day (HPID) is when we all power-up some hive. Pretty simple, eh? Powering up has many benefits, such as increasing your vote and your stake in this platform. Increasing your vote has a lot of benefits, among which are you can reward people more and you can make more in curation. We can of course power up on any day of the month; HPUD is just here for an added social push.

Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so it started about an hour ago as of this posting. Check what this is in your local time zone, using my favorite time zone conversion site.

I powered-up 100.

Growing stronger!! Happy days!

Ok, I know it's only 100. Nothing too big. I've been powering-up 20-100 every single day of last month, so I thought I'd keep it to a similar number.

Speaking of that, I am up over 2200 HP for this past month. I'm not going to go through and count my daily power-ups, but usually my posts earn me around 800 per month, so that means I've powered up around 1400 in the past month. Thank god for cheap Hive!

Anyway, happy HPUD one and all. Hope to see you join in too! And just for some encouragement, if you did join HPUD, powering up at least 10 Hive, show me proof in the comments and I'll send you 1 share of HSBI.
