Hello everyone at #hive community, I would like to introduce you to our daily dose of Nigerian snacks made by Marian Idahosa.
we have both decided to make videos for young cooking chefs to give them every clue on how to make delicious snack, we still focus on Nigerian snacks for now but moving forward I will be uploading how to make other foreign snacks and their origins.
This is the making of chinchin here are the ingredients and how to prepare it.
INGREDIENTS
500g - Flour
150g - Sugar
2tsp - Baking powder(optional)
1tsp - Nutmeg
100g - Butter
A pinch - Salt
1 cup - Liquid milk/water
1 tbsp - vanilla flavour
vegetable oil for frying
PREPARATIONS
- Mix all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl( sieved flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, salt).
- Add your butter and mix together to form a sandy look.
- Make a well at the middle of the mixing bowl, add your liquid milk/water, egg and vanilla flavour.
- Mix everything together to form a dough.
- Allow to rest for 20mins
6.Cut to your desired size and shape. - Deep fry the cut out dough.
- Allow to drain.
