Garuda Indonesia, sebagai satu-satunya maskapai penerbangan milik negara sekarang sedang dalam masalah besar. setelah sebelumnya memang sudah memiliki banyak hutang, pandemi ini juga sangat berdampak besar dalam pendapatan hingga membuat perusahaan negara ini semakin tertekan.
Utang Garuda saat ini mencapai 70 Trilliun Rupiah, dan ada kemungkinan jumlahnya bertambah hingga satu trilliun setiap bulannya jika industri penerbangan masih terus terdampak karena corona ini.
ada beberapa opsi yang akan di ambil untuk penyelamatan Garuda. Dan opsi-opsi tersebut sudah di pertimbangkan oleh Kementrian BUMN yang membawahi Maskapai ini. Salah satu opsi yang bagus adalah menawarkan opsi pensiun muda. Dalam opsi ini, yang di tawarkan untuk pensiun muda adalah seluruh lapisan karyawan, termasuk para komisaris.
Kementrian berencana untuk mengurangi komisarisnya hanya berjumlah 2-3 orang saja. Karena mereka mengganggap pensiun muda untuk level karyawan bisa tidak akan berpengaruh banyak jika para komisarisnya masih berjumlah banyak.

Pandemic hits Aviation Industry Really Hard
Garuda Indonesia, as the only state-owned carrier is really in big problems. They had already had a big amount of debt before the pandemic, and with the pandemic, they are now really under big pressure.
Garuda's debt almost hits 70 Trillion Rupiah dan there is a big chance that those debts can increase a trillion each month if the flight industry keeps on affected by the pandemic.
Several options will be taken to save Garuda. Those options are already under consideration in the BUMN Ministry which is the head of the carrier. one of the options is to cut down the employee and giving an early pension. In this option, early pensions are offered toward all of the employees from the bottom to the top level.
The Ministry planned to cut down the commissaries to only 2-3 person only. They think that the early pension will not affect much if only taken by the lower-level staff, while there are too many commissaries who are still leading the carrier.
