For me, this is one of the best romance movies out there, whenever I have the chance I recommend it and I'm glad to have this opportunity to talk about it and recommend it once again, now here in the CineTV community. Silver Linings Playbook was a movie that redefined the romantic comedy with a story of characters full of flaws and imperfections and that leaves a deep message about love and human relationships.

I tell you, the film introduces us to Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper), a history teacher with bipolar disorder who was confined in a mental health center, after having a violent episode caused the day he came home and got his wife with another man. Institution from where his mother Dolores Solatano (Jacki Weaver) picks him up after 8 months (during the first minutes of the film), taking him back to the house where he grew up, where his father Pat Solatano Sr. (Robert De niro).

Para mí, esta es una de las mejores películas románticas que existen, siempre que tengo la oportunidad la recomiendo y me alegra tener esta oportunidad de hablar de ella y recomendarla una vez más, ahora aquí en la comunidad de CineTV. Silver Linings Playbook fue una película que redefinió la comedia romántica con una historia de personajes llenos de defectos e imperfecciones y que deja un profundo mensaje sobre el amor y las relaciones humanas.

La película nos presenta a Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper), un profesor de historia con trastorno bipolar que fue recluido en un centro de salud mental, tras tener un episodio violento provocado el día que llegó a casa y consiguió a su mujer con otro hombre. Institución de la que su madre Dolores Solatano (Jacki Weaver) lo recoge después de 8 meses (durante los primeros minutos de la película), llevándolo de vuelta a la casa donde creció, donde su padre Pat Solatano Sr. (Robert De niro)

Pat is under constant pressure, upset going through characteristic episodes of his disorder, eager to get over that sad episode in his life. He is willing to fix his life, obsessed and eager to improve personally so that his wife, Nikki, withdraws the restraining order against him and accepts him again.

One night he goes to dinner at the house of his friend Ronnie (John Ortiz) and his wife Veronica (Julia Stiles) and that's when he meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) Veronica's sister. Tiffani is a very intelligent woman with a certain condition, who after becoming a widow she overcomes her loss with a large number of promiscuous relationships that have given her a bad reputation. With this scoop it is clear that this is not going to be a conventional story.

Pat está sometido a una presión constante, alterado pasando por episodios característicos de su trastorno, deseoso de superar ese triste episodio de su vida. Está dispuesto a arreglar su vida, obsesionado y con ganas de mejorar personalmente para que su mujer, Nikki, retire la orden de alejamiento contra él y le acepte de nuevo.

Una noche va a cenar a casa de su amigo Ronnie (John Ortiz) y su mujer Verónica (Julia Stiles) y es entonces cuando conoce a Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) la hermana de Verónica. Tiffani es una mujer muy inteligente y con cierta condición, que tras enviudar supera su pérdida con un gran número de relaciones promiscuas que le han dado mala fama. Con esta primicia queda claro que esta no va a ser una historia convencional.

Tiffany shows an interest in Pat from the beginning, which Pat does not reciprocate because he is obsessed with getting back with his wife Nikki, until, thanks to his therapist, he sees Tiffany as an opportunity to get closer to Nikki and decides to start a "friendship" with her. . Which leads to a deal where Tiffany promises to deliver a letter to Nikki and Pat must escort Tiffany to a dance contest. And so they begin a daily routine of dance practices.

We begin to see how, although Pat's goal is still to get back with Nikki, thanks to the time he shares with Tiffany he no longer shows an episode of anxiety, he is improving internally without realizing what the cause is. On the other hand, there is Pat Solatano Sr. An equally complex character with a serious gambling problem, very superstitious, who ends up betting his house and his business on a bet involving Tiffany and Pat's dance. I'm not going to tell how the story ends so as not to spoil spoilers for those who haven't seen the movie yet.

Tiffany muestra un interés por Pat desde el principio, que Pat no corresponde porque está obsesionado con volver con su mujer Nikki, hasta que, gracias a su terapeuta, ve en Tiffany una oportunidad para acercarse a Nikki y decide iniciar una "amistad" con ella. . Lo que lleva a un acuerdo en el que Tiffany promete entregar una carta a Nikki y Pat debe acompañar a Tiffany a un concurso de baile. Y así comienzan una rutina diaria de prácticas de baile.

Por otro lado, está Pat Solatano Sr. Un personaje igualmente complejo con un grave problema de juego, muy supersticioso, que acaba apostando su casa y su negocio en una apuesta que involucra el baile de Tiffany y Pat. No voy a contar cómo acaba la historia para no estropear los spoilers a los que aún no han visto la película.

At this point in the story I see that Silver Linings Playbook shows us how love is about accepting ourselves as we are, about sharing the pain and lifting our burdens.

I can tell you that the dance scene is exciting and very well conceived. I also highlight the scene in the cafeteria and the discussion that it entails are a waste of acting and directing, Tiffany's lines and the way she says them seemed fascinating to me, as well as Pat's condition drags him to listen to that trigger song that the disturbs so much even when it is not playing. Together with the resources used by the direct they make the whole situation very real and convincing.

En este punto de la historia veo que Silver Linings Playbook nos muestra cómo el amor consiste en aceptarnos tal y como somos, en compartir el dolor y levantar nuestras cargas.

Puedo decir que la escena del baile es emocionante y está muy bien concebida. También destaco la escena de la cafetería y la discusión que conlleva son un derroche actoral y de dirección, las líneas de Tiffany y la forma en que las dice me parecieron fascinantes, así como la condición de Pat lo arrastra a escuchar esa canción detonante que el perturba tanto incluso cuando no está sonando. Junto con los recursos utilizados por el directo hacen que toda la situación sea muy real y convincente.

There is another movie “As Good As It Gets” with which I had an internal debate and it was almost the one I am reviewing in this Post, in which the protagonist Carol (Helen Hunt) asks her counterpart Melvin (Jack Nicholson) to say a compliment, Melvin, a very unusual man, after telling him a short story about himself. She tells him: “you make me want to be a better person”, to which she replies that this is the best compliment she has received in her entire life. This is what we see in Silver Linings Playbook, Tiffany and Pat are better people when they are together and inadvertently overcome their traumas together, each makes the other a better person. And this is the kind of message that makes a love story fascinating. It invites you to reflect on life, relationships, and gives you a better perspective on what a relationship should be like.

Hay otra película "As Good As It Gets" con la que tuve un debate interno y fue casi la que reseño en este Post, en la que la protagonista Carol (Helen Hunt) le pide a su homólogo Melvin (Jack Nicholson) que le diga un cumplido, Melvin, un hombre muy poco común, después de contarle una pequeña historia sobre él. Ella le dice: "me das ganas de ser mejor persona", a lo que ella responde que es el mejor cumplido que ha recibido en toda su vida. Esto es lo que vemos en Silver Linings Playbook, Tiffany y Pat son mejores personas cuando están juntos y superan juntos sus traumas sin querer, cada uno hace al otro mejor persona. Y este es el tipo de mensaje que hace que una historia de amor sea fascinante. Te invita a reflexionar sobre la vida, las relaciones, y te da una mejor perspectiva de cómo debería ser una relación.

Recommended Silver Linings Playbook, apart from what has been said in this Post, it is a movie with an excellent rhythm, the performances are extraordinary, the characters are endearing, the music is another positive point, Jennifer Lawrence's performance is wonderful (an Oscar well earned ) and although the ending is predictable, the experience is very pleasant. It is available on Netflix.

Recomendado Silver Linings Playbook, aparte de lo dicho en este Post, es una película con un ritmo excelente, las actuaciones son extraordinarias, los personajes son entrañables, la música es otro punto positivo, la actuación de Jennifer Lawrence es maravillosa (un Oscar bien ganado ) y aunque el final es predecible, la experiencia es muy agradable.
