This one is interesting.
It's a hot pot place that doesn't look much like a hot pot place.
More like you come eat and chill in your friend's backyard or something close to that.
Looking at it closely, it's a house. Like, a family house.
Then they turn their front yard into a chill/casual restaurant.

That day, we wanted to try something new.
So we went and drove around town for more than 30 minutes.
Just to find a good-looking place that we'd like to give it a try.
And just because we're so actively looking with high hope.
And the expectation was too high as well. We couldn't find anything after half an hour.
Until this soi (alley) I always wanted to come check it out.
It's somewhat hidden by the main road.
That night was the night. Then out of nowhere, this restaurant!
A restaurant that doesn't look like a restaurant.
We almost right away just decide on it and there we go... Naan si Thai Isaan style hot pot - น่านสิ หมูจุ่ม

It was 4 of us taking up 2 pots and 2 tables.
They give you a menu paper where you have to write down the number of what you'd like after the menu items.
We ordered quite a bunch..
I love beef a lot but somehow, believe it or not, with this type of place, beef can never beat pork belly.

The meal set up should also be interesting for some of you.
It's not a regular hot pot. It's Moojoom (หมูจุ่ม) or Isaan-style hot pot.
A flavorful rich broth simmered with pork bones and fragrant herbs.
Thin slices of meat and seafood are cooked in the broth alongside fresh vegetables
My faves for veggies are cabbage and mushrooms.
Dipping sauces, customizable with chili, lime, and garlic, add extra flavor.

Moojoom or any other hot pot is meant to be shared among a few,
with each person cooking their food in the communal pot.
So the more the merrier they say.

This place does their broth just perfectly.
The meat and veggies are all fresh and good (enough) quality.
Their dipping sauces are so good as well. Flavorful and umami!

Upon writing this post, I went there 2 times already so, it's gotta be pretty good.
If you'd like to try real Thai-style hot pot.
A plus is a chill vibe.
This place could easily be a good one to come check it out while in Chiang Mai.
