Had a meet-up with a group of friends and they suggested this place.
Hei Hei Hot Pot Nimman R.
There are two locations of them and I recently just visited the other location too.
Well, that could wait. Let’s talk about this one, the fancier one 😃
Walking into a place, the setup is a little weird.
Got a few tables with limited space and everything seems tight (well warmth)
The pot has 3 rooms for 3 soup flavors. Not even sure if that’s necessary.
I like it more when it’s just one or two (one hot and one not) so I can focus on what I’m eating.
We went with milk soup, mala soup (of course!), and Thai-style tom yam soup.
Meat can be ordered unlimited and the time also, unlimited as well. How awesome!
Who would eat more than 1-2 hours anyways -0-
We ordered a bunch of meat mostly just beef, and as mentioned, they got some lamb as well! epic!
Another thing I was excited to try but all my foreign friends were eww… Pig brain.
Honestly, I had never tried this so I wanted to experience it.
Mostly it comes in a dish already, like, pig brain curry omelet…
This one is a big chunk of the brain and you just dip it in the soup real quick
Comes out as a whole big chuck still ready to be tried…
Man, it’s soft, mushy, almost pork fat melting in your mouth.
If no one told me it was a pig brain, I might have liked it more…
Also love the fact that Hei Hei provides a good variety of dipping sauce
All comes along with pounded garlic and chili to spice everything up.
Like, the Mala soup is not spicy enough already. (well it’s a different kind of spicy duhh)
Also, the lime they provide for the dipping sauce helps get rid of the mala grease pretty good.
The meat is very good quality compared to any cheaper ones out there.
Totally a good one to spoil yourself every once in a while.
Actually, for some of you out there, a $20 buffet is probably a steal.
Totally love this place, Hei Hei hot pot and I sure will be visiting again soon!
