Hey everyone! Today I am here to share a spicy recipe for fritters (Pakora), It is a tasty dish or recipe for potato fritters made with gram flour. It is a famous dish all over Pakistan as well as in the whole world as far as I know. It is served deliciously and I also like this tasty, spicy dish. I like all the spicy things and it is one of them. And we make it at home as well and then eat collectively.
Spicy Potato Fritters (Pakora) recipe
This recipe is not a simple but somewhat complex recipe as it contains different ingredients, so all those ingredients which I use at home are given below:
- Potatoes
- Gram Flour
- Onions
- Green chilies
- Red Chillies
- Salt
- Turmeric Powder
- Coriander
- Coriander leaves
- Mint
- Brinjal
- First of all wash the potatoes. Then peel off the potatoes. And then the last thing is to cut off the potatoes into small pieces. We cut them in small pieces so that we can fry them easily.
- After that it is the time to cut the other vegetables. So firstly we will peel off the onions and then we will wash them as well. After that we crush the onions into small pieces with the help of a handy machine.
- Then it is time to add green chillies. We add green chillies to make it spicy and tasty. So we entered the required amount of green chilies, but we added them after making small round pieces of them.
- Then the brinjal is cut into small pieces. It adds taste in this dish and makes it crispy. We make enough small pieces so that we can easily mix it with other ingredients.
- Now wash the coriander leaves and then put them. These leaves are put in this recipe to give an appetizing odour to this spicy dish.
- Now it is time to mix these vegetables along with potatoes in the gram flour. So I have put gram flour. As you can see in a plate in the above picture. Gram flour makes these fritters crispy and spicy.
- Now add some turmeric powder into the gram flour. It will give it some brownish colour when the potatoes will be fried.
- Salt is also the main part of this spicy dish. As we know, without salt there is no any spict dish. So add the required amount of salt to make it more spicy and delicious.
- Now it is time to mix all the things with the gram flour. So I am putting the potatoes. You can see I have a wide pot in which potatoes and gram flour can be seen.
- Now add the crushed onions in the potatoes and gram flour. Then add the pieces of brinjal as I have added in it.
- Then we put red grinded powder of chillies to make it spicy. As this is a spicy dish so it's recipe is also spicy. So I am adding this powder of red chillies.
- Now a few more turmeric powders are added onto these things. And then the small pieces of green chillies are also added as you can see these chillies are visible on the side. Coriander leaves have been added too.
- Now mix all these things with your hand so that everything mixes completely and the amount of each thing remains the same at each part.
- Then add a little water in it, so that the gram flour becomes wet and can be mixed easily with all the things. Then again mix and after that now the mixture is ready to be fried to make the spicy fritters.
- So now it is time to fry these potatoes in the oil to make the spicy and crispy fritters. So I have poured oil in the frying pan and now heat this oil.
- Now the oil is warm and has been heated enough to fry the potatoes easily. So now put collectively potatoes in the heated oil with the half full hand or use a spoon. I used a spoon because it is safe and your hand will not get hurt.
- We cook and heat these potatoes in the oil until the potatoes become crispy and brown. So after that put off these crispy fried fritters out from the oil and suck oil from these fritters.
