Hi Everyone,
Once we left Sky Tree, the kids were extremely hungry. You can see the previous post about our adventure up in the Sky Tree tower. We weren’t able to book a table at the Kirby Cafe (we ended up going to the one at Hakata) but they offered a daily limited amount for takeaway. We found the shop right opposite of the Pokemon Store and ordered whatever was available.
We ordered two hot custard cream buns (strawberry was sold out) and one of each of the pretty jelly drinks. We actually ordered the last two drinks as the people behind us couldn’t get any more. The drinks also came with a special Kirby straw holder which you are able to take home.
The food prices were pretty expensive considering what we are getting and the only thing to justify it was the Kirby print of the food and cups. 900 yen for a drink which is around $9.50AUD is pretty steep imo but we still had to try it.
We had our food outside which was a bad idea considering how cold it was but we quickly at the food and headed back inside. The buns were nice but not very big. The bread was very very fluffy just like the usual Japanese bakery bread. The drinks however was a bit weird. I wasn’t a fan of any of the these jelly drinks, it was a bit too sweet for my liking but the kids loved it. I do have to say that their designs are really pretty, the colours were done perfectly and the presentation with the Kirby straw holder kind of made it worthwhile for the price (trying to justify for that price).
Would I buy takeaway from this store again? Maybe not as it wasn’t worth the money paid but for those who love Kirby like BB M, I guess it is worth it to try 1-2 things to satisfy the support for your favourite character.
